Mercifull
I know topics like this have been done before but this one is a bit different. what kinds of weird and wonderful things can you find on google maps. Schools that look like robots, smilie faces in mountains and maybe even yourself if its got enuf zoom quality. Hows this for an incredible pic (zoom in) There's only two flying in the entire world. What are the chances that it was flying on the same day and over the same location that google was taking a snapshot. Amazing ^_^ Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. wl_daniel
The plane pic looks like a in-game pic :? , a nice one though :D To bad my computer is to slow to handle Google Earth... :(
jabraulter
My house is on a golf course, so it's easy to spot mine and the resolution is not too bad either. Except it was an old picture, and you can only see our lot...we ended up building on the lot. So Google maps hasn't updated.

Phil
I've seen a couple of these types of names made of trees before (can't remember where the other one is though). Anyway they are pretty cool like. And to give you a better context

Hannibal
http://perljam.net/google-satellite-map ... __Airplane Close to Holland, above the sea. Gives a nice reflection ;) Oh, and this one: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en ... .86792&t=k It's just north of Holland, below the islands (which are still part of Holland, but anyway). Just thought that looked pretty cool. What you're seeing are sandbanks, which go dry at low tide. They might be frozen too (look at the island, which is frozen/snowed in at the sea side)

Dracion1
apparently if you search rachel nevada, you can get to see area 51. Looks like a large crater next to a runway. Barihawk
Really sweet pics :) I wonder if I'm able to find secret military planes  *opens google earth* Scour Nevada for Groom Lake Air Force Base, also known as Area 51 (although its like Area 102 now) My heart is broken by the terrible loss I have sustained in my old friends and companions and my poor soldiers. Phil
Really sweet pics :) I wonder if I'm able to find secret military planes  *opens google earth* Well there's lots of military airbases about with military planes in them. Dunno about the secret bit though. Also there's hundreds of planes (flying or not) that are pictured in google earth, it's quite amazing really. Just look near airports, you are bound to spot a few. apinagez
Barihalk, area 51 even has a link for it's location on that google earth section called "famous places" or something :P Secret was irony Phil  Anyway, I zoomed my city airport...but resolution here is so low :? ^The most disturbing signature on Tip.it^Last.fm|HELLY KAYLA!|Oh the mehagurtz!|#Siencemakers"they care less about their spelling mistakes then I." - Lionheart"apinagez... let me
Phil
Secret was irony Phil  I knew you weren't being serious :P But still, it would be interesting to see pics of training/test areas, but I would think that the US government wouldn't allow google to show them

Hulk12
Theres a stealth air plane base in Knob Noster, Mo just a little bit from here. They flew non-stop to Afghanistan in 2001 for bombing raids. Bet you can find something there. Edit: Ya heres the base: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q ... 096302&t=h Nothing really at all going on in the pic... I did'nt really look to far ahead of the run way though.... Peter
I found this ship, looks like a cruise ship, in the San Fransisco area. Is it just me or is that a waterpark on top? There's definately a helicoptor pad in the back, and a lot of green (probably grass). Kinda cool I guess. http://img83.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ship7ja.jpg

Its 960 feet long making it farily large as cruise ships go but surprisingly it only has 1 pool. Oh, yea thats not a waterpark, its a 11 meter long pool with 2 jacuzzis behind it; pretty much every cruise ship has one and most have 2 or 3.
