Still have research to do, Retech. Trying not to rush and crash like I always do.

On a separate note: EVE Online, yes or no. If no, why, and what's a good MMO/your favourite?

That actually makes me really excited to play now. The fact that you are spending time to develop the game is great.

EVE has just had a huge update apparently (you can now walk inside space stations, and it actually looks really good), but the thing abotu EVE is, you have to put the time in to get any where and don't expect to play EVE like you would a regular MMO, no. EVE is more of a hobby, or perhaps a psuedo-job. If you want to do well as well, you need to know what you're doing, so you have to read up on quite a bit also you need to be good with mathematics, it's a math game with a space mini game.

Lately I have not been playing any MMO, because I want to save my money up.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

EVE requires math?

Can you tell me more about it?

As it is nicknamed...Spreadsheets in Space...

Its one of those bussiness type simulators. You need to mine stuff, to buy stuff, to sell stuff, so you can't stop mining stuff.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

It has the most massive game world ever, with systems for mining, wormholes, an entirely player-based economy, factions, faction WARS, missions, reputation, manufacturing, so on so forth. It's quite deep and complex. :P

They're also slowly tightening the scale of the game, so you can go further and further in depth, until the release of Dust 514. Which is a first person shooter. Which completely crosses-over with EVE, including EVE player funded militaries fighting for dominance of ground areas planetside.

It mentions Goonswarm, not only that but in a minor role. I thought they were the strongest of the alliances? And didn't they die out anyways?

Goonswarm in 2009-10 were unstoppable, but some stuff happened, including their leader being charged with fraud of over 20 million dollars (I'm serious). They disbanded and were remade, but they're no longer the monster they once were afaik. Their homeland that they won when they defeated BoB was nerfed in patches so now they live in a tiny area of space.

Just an interesting note to nex, there's call of cthulhu d20 as well as the percentile dice system (which might be what you're looking for, I don't know ) though they might be a bit more brutal (as in Dark Heresy, an online character generator is a plus) than what the tavern as a whole is used to, and people who make self inserts only to have them sacrificed to the black goat with a thousand young might not take it that well, but hey, that's horror for you; after all it wouldn't be horror if you couldn't die.

Looking for 1 mature roleplayer to join an out of Tavern roleplaying game.

Player must be willing to learn a new set of rules:

Danse Macarbe is a reletively rules-light dark fanstasy game with an emphasis on mood and horror. The game works around player characters of reletively insignificant power in a world full of cosmic horrors, monstrosities and dark things. Helplessness is not only potentially a part of the game, it is generally expected.

This means that Danse Macarbe stands at quite a remove from traditional fantasy or epic fantasy games. The expectation is that players will have to tread carefully and slowly through a given game session. Problems will usually have to be solved through clever reasoning, not brute strength, and it's quite likely that player characters will have to simply make a run for it when dark creatures turn up.

In short Danse Macarbe is a game of careful survival, not glory.

It is recomended that Danse Macarbe is suited for a mature gaming group. Some elements of the game have an adult, sometimes philosophical, sometimes horrific theme.

Please PM me if you are interested.

Also, please answer this question:

You need to get to Ravendale, a town seven miles away by morning. The road there is fairly straight, and you are outside a stable. Unfortunately there are voices coming from within the stable. They sound fairly relaxed and jokey. Walking or running to Ravendale is possible, but would leave you ill prepared for whatever you may find there.

What do you do?

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Well, do I have any money? Would they have some inclination against letting me use a horse?

I would bargain with them, probs... If I didn't have anything to bargain with I would run in shouting of some threat bearing down on my destination and jump onto the horse to spread the word of the emergency, being forceful and immediate but not rude, and shout back to them that once the danger was ended they would recieve back the horse and a fair payment for their service to the nation.

Also I would be interested in an RP of that nature, depending on the schedule.

This looks to be something along the lines of what I'm actually good at. I'll have to think about it though, not sure if I can fit it in. Pretty much stuck with small type things until more time frees up, if it's not taken by tomorrow, I'll send a PM.

Would certainly be interesting to finally roleplay with you.

I do have one question. Is this roleplay one where I won't be the only one trying to write a paragraph (more now that I have a computer) for an entry?

Well, the game is designed to be roleplaying heavy, with a lot of things which are not mechanically important, but are there to build up your background/character development.

Its also designed to have a lot of atomsphere.

I had been planning to use Maptools, so there is a graphical componant...but we could play by post if it is more convienant to you?

I've never used maptools before. As I usually only do RPs that are heavily story based. But I have played some oldschool DnD back when I was a teen, so I'm sure I could adapt to the maptools, as long as the requirements are pretty low on a PC. :P
