You're forgetting that the water then condenses around itty-bitty bits of dirt and returns to Earth.

 

So, by your logic, we need to fill the air with itty-bitty bits of dirt to remove water as a greenhouse gas via precipitation. MORE POLLUTING GO

Actually dust blocks sunlight, if anyone wants to read the "global dimming" article. Now that we have more things to capture the stuff we can see, the gas is actually affecting us more.

Life on mars is actually quite possible, would be fairly nice with some time for terraforming.

Agreed, the Mayans did not include any warning on their calender as usual, they just ended it. They had to end it at some point.

Maybe the Mayans will come back from the dead on the destined day, reclaim the world in a fury of war and slaughter, and then proceed to keep working on the calendar?

The hell they wouldn't, they might wake up a little pissed but would cry of joy when they learned of our astronomical advancements.

They were tribal, but not primitive. Comunicating with them would be done like with people you don't have language in common with, you use drawings, you teach and you learn.

Dwarf fortress is mildly irritating (at least for me in that I can't seem to figure out how to get the damned things to actually do anything other than idle).

To communicate with a species you can't communicate, drawings are what we should use, but symbolism goes out of the window, making it a very annoying process.

I suspect Ross's dwarf fortress senses will tweak soon and he will reply to you very soon.

Luckily we have one thing in common that makes drawing much easier if done correctly, the knowledge of celestial objects and constellations. We know the symbolism their constellations had.

We hope we do, a symbol could mean the exact opposite if we traslated it wrong. :P

I consider you as more of a cousin of sorts than the sort of person I'm friends with. I don't mind you, and I can't help but like you to some degree because you're generally fun to be around, but you're annoying sometimes and could easily start an argument. Honestly, I'm glad you're here, and wouldn't wish you away regardless of your actions.

So I'm to you the same kind of friend Ouyso is to me. That goes under friend.

 

Also, I considder all here friends except two people who I am sure everyone here can guess who are.

I personally like all of you. I rarely get into an argument with any of you that would change my opinion of you. Then again, I try to refrain from judging others. I do know I can come off as immature at times though, lol.
