Please. Can any Victoria Revolutions player tell me how the hell I transport troops across the sea.

 

I would be eternally grateful, this has taken hours of my time, no results to show for it :/.

I never bought revolutions, but I assume it's the same as vanilla. The ships must be at sea, there must be enough room for the troops, and the transports must be in one fleet if the army is too large for one ship. You then select the troops, right click on the naval province the ships are in, and they will board.

So me thinking logically, and saying that the ship would need to port, was actually.... Wrong?

 

How would they board a ship in the middle of the sea... Wat.

The game was/is hard, but I'm getting better each time I play.

It's a really fun game if you get into it. I've probably played about 20 games, I usually end up getting too much BadBoy and get stomped by the UK. I did get to the end once with Brazil in 5th place. I had all of S. America except for the European Colonies. I ended up winning a war against the USA, by luring troops into the amazon and picking off divisions with a 250k death-stack. I then forced America to give me Hawaii and accept Humiliation. Playing as minors is usually more fun than playing a GP, as you have more you can achieve. Brazil makes a great first country, so does France in the ACW scenario. Playing France from the start is a pain in the ass though as the Liberal Revolution makes rebels spawn excessively.

I picked Japan, as they have a nice event, but that leads to rebellion, as I found out.

 

I've seen people hand Britain's ass XD. Although I'd never be able to achieve something like that.

If you put the pieces together... I think it's fairly obvious that they've already decided they're bringing it back and this is just a viral publicity stunt. Smart move on their part.

Still, that doesn't wave the viral marketing part of the theory, or they would just go for a password requirement on this one, as well.

 

Supposedly, their macro detection and such is good enough that they feel safe enough to bring the old RS back. I'm not sure it's a good idea financially, but I suppose the game was more fun back then... Although that might just be rose tinted glasses talking.

Honestly, I'm not sure if giving an open wilderness would be such a good idea. In that it would cause the price of dragon bones to skyrocket (or at the very least crowd blue dragons out of the ass), that and with extreme potions/ the new curses higher leveled wilderness would be insanely deadly. Also I'm not sure if I want to go back to peddling my wares at world 2 (or on forum topics) again, but hey it could be worth it for the chance to screw with abyssal pkers.

Well that's a flaw the game has always had, Grim. The system is so inflexible when it comes to countering power creep, it's unreal.

 

I heard some stuff about them working towards a more percentage based system, which would be a lot better.

Meh, that's what made me quit Runescape in the first place. After a while, I just grew tired of it. Then Archi introduced me to HnH, and I came to enjoy the game while the rest of you lot buggered off and found other things to play.

 

If they do reintroduce free trade and old style Wilderness PKing, I may start playing again in order to take vacations from HnH, although it will be part-time since I'm busy in HnH during most of my playtime.

Andvari, I've been wondering, could you use a hand? I'm thinking about getting full tradition and killing my character off to make a new one. I'd be glad to help you if I could, the game is only fun for me on a team.

Has HnH reset yet? I'd be interested in playing if there wasn't going to be a full reset.

Really got to know each other's styles there. I'm great with the Snake Sword, Iey is beast with the Dual Ninja Swords. I made some clever new combos.

Ugh, they really changed a lot around in SoulCalibur. I tried certain combos I used to favor, and it would do a basic attack. I was like, "WTF?"

You can get a moves list if you hit start during test play in character creation. You can also use custom controls if you go to options.

 

But yeah, you were awesome anyways. That one jumping attack just kept getting me. :P

 

And when you played as Nightmare... it was a nightmare.
