I had a good day on Friday.

 

I got to meet the beluga whale named Naku (one of the 2 female belugas at the aquarium, there were 4 belugas total), talk to someone on the Nautilis (which is a ship that is currently in the Mediterranean/Black Sea area on the last leg of its trip) live, feed/get attacked by birds of the outback (once I ran out of birdseed, a bird attacked my thumb), recorded a sea lion show, as well as touched rays and shoved my hands into a shark tank (dog sharks is what my dad called them).

 

The only things I didn't do was the Spongebob 4D tour thing and the penguin interaction thing.

 

Over all, awesome.

Got Leviathan for Mass Effect 3.

[spoiler=Spoilertastic]It's basically lots of action, a bit of investigation, then infodump about the Reapers and the Catalyst. It's the kind of thing that would have prevented all of the controversy about the ending, while expanding on a few of the questions that are still around.

 

It was a good DLC, though not as game-changing as something like Lair of the Shadow Broker, and if you're still interested in the series it's probably worth it. If not, then this won't convince you otherwise. :razz:

 

Interesting...Though considering my experience with the extended cut (Play through the final mission sequence...Decides the patch didn't install despite being downloaded and installed, then proceeds to apply a 0b update on a continous cycle) I'll just watch it on You Tube.

You know how they say time always moves slower when meassured? I resent that statement. I was without a watch for one week, and yet that felt like an eternity.

 

On another note, I'm considering dyeing my hair some whacky color (yes, that would be in fact be for attention, though memorability and impact rather than making people notice me (judging by the amount of heads turned in the cafeteria today, the welding goggles would serve such a purpose beyond excellently, even when worn on the forehead for a purely aesthetic effect). Any suggestions? I'm leaning towards fiery red.

Also either any color except pink or lime green would suit me as long as it's not too bright, or my narcissism is worse than I thought.

Dyeing hair is so unoriginal, maybe a face tattoo :P

 

 

Also, I've never seen a good hair dye. They always appear obviously dyed and make the hair look like plastic. Maybe a new haircut? If you dye your hair then I'm going to suggest a glorious Norwegian blond.

I think the expression is 'Time flies when you are having fun' or 'A Watched Pot never Boils', both of which refer to two different phenomona.

The first is that we are more willing to forget the annoyances while we are enjoying ourselves, thus we notice the passage of time less.

The second is that we are doing nothing but wait, and so, without any distractions, the moment seems to elongate.

 

Not having a watch shouldn't have any significant effect, other than potentially throwing out your bodyclock.

 

 

And dying your hair is generally foolish, though most males habe to do it at some point...I would suggest Aqua, worked for me.

It's not quite a saying, just paraphrasing of a lot of different things. And it didn't throw off my body clock, I was just getting really sick of looking at my wrist all the time.

 

And I'm aware that dyeing my hair is a stupid thing to do, but my natural hair color is too neutral and forgettable, and even if it isn't the cause of my inability to get a girlfriend, it probably is contributing to it. And besides it's so strong and healthy that I couldn't even begin to damage it unless I lit it on fire or left it soaking in a corrosive chemical, so I've got nothing to lose.

 

As for tattoos, I'm not getting any until something really strikes my fancy. I used to have a thing for the Neversoft mascot (the speared eyeball). But now, if anything, I'm leaning more towards a cerulean blue ♏ on my shoulder or my nickname written in a large font down my forearm.

That blue would be good.

Yeah, not gonna get a facial tattoo. At least not until I've worked up enough of a fortune to afford the risk of becoming permanently unemployed.

And to give you a hint as to why that symbol and color:

Yeah, the jacket is a bit wrong and my hand now smells of foot, but I can't get any closer than that without pretty much stating it outright.

Errr...Why do you have an eyepatch? I mean you put a bottle of plonk in one of your hands and you could pass for permenantly unemployed...

It's not an eyepatch, it's a pair of sunglasses with one lens taken out. It's representing a pair of glasses with one lens blacked out as an alternative for an eyepatch though.

 

Also you're not too familiar with internet culture, are you? Well, I'll leave it for someone else to explain or you to find out. I know Lei will see it right away, and there's at least one other person but I can't remember who (it was either Pieis, Icu, Trol or Earth), and I've got a feeling there are a couple of other people here who might be familiar enough to recognize it, even if they are going to care far less about it, or be concerned about my mental well-being.

Is this going to be one of those things like the Zombie Survival thread where you bring up an insignificant flek of a conversation someone once had with someone else, and base your entire thesis around it, despite it being incorrect?

 

 

Also it would appear you are none too familiar with real world culture, otherwise you would have understood the permenantly unemployed reference.
