January 25, 200620 yr Well as some of you may know, I have been hacked a couple of days ago of over 12M. The Items hacked were the ones in my inventory, thank you jagex for bank pins for because of them, I kept about 5M worth of stuff. Here are the items that were hacked: >Full Guthan (11.5M) >Ring of Wealth (60K) >Glory Ammy (90K) >Obby Cape (400K) >Rune Boots (200K) >Total (approx. 12.2M) This is my blog of getting my sstuff back. Nothing can keep me from playing my most favorite game, not even being hacked. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ```DAY 1``` I go on runescape, and notice that my armor is not on me, I think to myself "Uh Oh!". I quickly check the bank to see if I banked my stuff, and also to see if my bank got hacked. I lost my stuff, but thankfully my bank pin protected me from losing all my things. [Let this be a lesson to all Runescapers, bank pins are a MUST!] I actually came really close to quitting runescape for good, but I decided not to let this event bring me down. I decide to start earining my money tomorrow since I am way too tired and depressed atm to do anything. Tomorrow is a new day. ```DAY 2``` I go on and instantly start working. How do I work? Simply the best and fastest way for me to earn cash: The Barrows. I have always been lucky there. I have never gone more than 20 trips without getting equipment. Up till today, I have made about 24M from barrows. So it begins. I take out the 72 prayer pots I have left in my bank and my barrows setup. And away I go. I will not get into details about all my trips (as there are many), but I will tell you It took me the whole day but it was worth it. Here is what I have gotten withing around 60 trips of barrows: ========= >Torag Plate (1.3M) >Guthan Skirt (1.2M) >Guthan Helm and body {one chest} (Helm- 3.3M; Body- 2.2M) >Verac Brassard (2.3M) ========= The funny thing is, I was doing a barrows trip and torag was my tunnel. Clumsily, I got the puzzle wrong :? and ran around the whole dungeon to find the puzzle door. Finally after I kill torag and open the chest: BAM GUTHAN HELM AND BODY IN ONE CHEST!!! I was very pleased. ++++++++ Total Cash Made 11M (with runes sold) + 2M Cash = 13M Guthans, and all my other stuff bought back, Nightmare over. ++++++++ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Let this be a lesson to me and all of you fellow scapers: Bank Pins are a lifeline. :wink:

I do that every once and a while if I'm by a bank... lol. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. January 25, 200620 yr Bank pins are useful if you have dangerous internet surfing habits, such as having no firewall or memory shield, or going on small Rs-related websites on which you could get keyloggers. And by making frequent adware/virus/spyware scans, you make yourself safe. Actually, the only thing that could broke in your account even if you're careful is a password cracking program. 90% of those programs don't work with Rs. So by having a weird alphanumeric password, you're safe. January 25, 200620 yr Man, from all these hacked stories and then bank pins, I guess I should get one. :P I always thought they were a waste, except now I have a fair amount of money... So it's a good idea now. :D Good job getting 12 mil back in a day... :shock:

January 26, 200620 yr well dun on getting ur guthns back bank pins r a MUST :!: i see no point in bank pins other then annoyance. my password is very personal to me youd have to know me to guess it. i dont download anything so i couldnt get trojaned. my friend who told me his password was his social security #(i dont know his ss#) and his reason for not having a bank pin? slows him down, annoying, and he said if some1 knows his social security # he has more problems to worry about then runescape.

January 26, 200620 yr just be aware people... bank PINs wont always save you. i had a bank pin and they took literally everything exept my tiaras and seeds...

January 27, 200620 yr I can't actually believe how many people don't have bank pins. They can make the difference between losing everything and losing a minor amount. It's not like they're that much of a nuisance....do it once and it stays until you log out. A minor inconvenience compared to losing all your stuff. Bank pins help a lot people, if you don't have one, you risk losing all...
