I was just browsing through the site and found this to my bewilderment:

 

 

Now, it might well be that some of the records have been passed in the approximate 10 months since the hiscore removal. However, as you know, a player that is non-members doesn't appear on the official hiscores so there is no way to track the XP through a site like runetracker anymore, therefore making it impossible to prove a record.

 

So, please revert those two back to the previous records:

 

 

We can't update them until we get our rightful place back on the hiscores, only then can we start tracking. Any possible records in between simply don't matter since all we have is the player's word for achieving it and that just isn't good enough. No matter how well we know/trust said player it just cannot be proven.

 

Let's just hope Jagex weren't bullshitting when they hinted a possible return of the hiscores for us because then we can really get this thing going again where every record is crystal clear with proof.

None of it was taken "at their word". Multiple people were there when both were starting to try and break the record, with a screenshot sent in real time within a few seconds of taking it (so no chance to tamper) and also sent at the end. It was a lot of work, and I don't advise anyone tries it as it's a real hassle to verify and accomplish (and several have tried and failed), but it is proven that said xp gains occurred within the specific time period allotted.

 

it will indeed be incredibly easier when runetracker back up and working for us. Let us indeed hope Jagex makes good on that vague, off-hand promise they dangled in front of us.

Interesting question, Entomologist, I really am not sure, but it seems plausible. I am not sure if anyone has kept a record of such things or not.

I think that is that is the lowest possible combat. The rewards from Dragon slayer will give 33 Strength, I'm assuming you used mage to kill the lesser and other monsters (Thus the 20 mage, but it won't affect combat either way). The only possibility other possibility of lowering the amount of xp gained is if you have someone else doing the quest with you and kills the lesser and Melzar halfway for you (It's not instanced is it?)

 

So 33 str (From quest reward), 40 def (to wear rune plate) is definitely minimums, not sure on hp...gonna go calculate that now.

The quest also gives 18650 Defence xp, so in theory it could have been done with only 33 Def and then bumped to 40 after collecting the reward.

Yea, I assumed that much. I'm not 100% sure, but after adding together all the hp of the monsters that are required kills for the quest, I get 284 hp (more if you don't get the key on your first try). Technically, the lowest you can get it at is 24, if you lamp your way to the necessary defense level before the quest.

 

Regardless, awesome job, pretty insane completing it at lvl 25!

Most definitely. I had a hard enough time of it with combats in the 50's, I can't imagine doing it while they were practically at zero.

I'll take this opportunity to do a stats update and also note that I have just broken Ixbpoqdxl's record for the lowest-leveled F2Per to hit 1300 total. He got it with 79 combat, but I just got it with 77. :) Here's to hoping Rusty Nail24 or his brother don't come out of the woodwork to blow my record out of the water...I'll bet they already have but just haven't uploaded a pic, lol :D
