I never said a lvl 66 with 99 mage isn't a pure. I said you can fund 99 mage in many ways. Just because you have low combat doesn't mean you can't be rich. Getting 99 in money making skills such as woodcutting, runecrafting, mining ain't going to add to combat so the stereotype of low level = poor player isn't true. Just because a lvl 66 has 99 mage you can't automatically assume he xfers from a main.

Be smart next time. If youre in the wildy, prepare to die... Next time maybe bring some food.. Especially if youre hopping worlds buying runes.. youre not the brightest if you go into the wilderness without food. :roll:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I had to learn the hard way from that... Lost my first whip to a lvl 84 when I was 102, and whips was worth 23mil, then a day after that I lost the last of my cash which was around 6mil, at that zammy mage. Yeah, I brought food but lagged out. Learn from your mistakes, or stay out of the wildy.... its that simple

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For example, if you want to kill greens or use the abyss but dont want to run into pkers (lame pkers at that because they kill ppl skilling) then your best bet is to do something else, and dont go to the wild.

Pures really show that there are problems to the game in my opinion. The problem is that balanced combat lvl 66 players stand no change whatsoever versus a pure lvl 66 with 99 range or magic. So the only way to use the wildy is to either seriously lvl up, so that pures don't hit you that hard or make a pure yourself.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I think it should be possible to enjoy the entire game on one account. That includes dueling, wildy and questing. At the moment this is not possible.

Well since I'm a pker, from our point of view we see a person standing there, next to the zammy mage. What do we think? Thats obvious! Free kill!!! It isn't as much for the money as it is the kill. If you've ever had that feeling where your hands shake and you get all tense that's how we feel we just wanna keep that going.

i had the same problem although he wasnt a pure i was on my way to mage arena to get my sara cape back after dieing at the mole thanks to a lag, there was a bunch of pkers out side the lever so i start walking they left me alone then one was coming for me cleary seeing i had nothing but a knife on me.

okay people don't bother reading this part but this post is a perfect opportuinity for me to share some of the divine knowledge that comes from playing any online game besided Runescape.

RS has the absolute worst player base of any online game I have ever played. Tip.it forums are the best forums I have found for rs in terms of low amounts of flaming and such, but the fact that someone can not post complaining about getting killed without being flamed is plain pathetic. (even WOW isn't this bad) Sure, the Wilderness IS a place where you can get killed very easily; it IS a place where you cannot trust anyone; it IS NOT a place for taking large amounts of money and/or valuable items, but still the flaming is just pathetic. Your argument would have a point if when you said "balanced combat lvl 66 player" you actually meant that, instead of just an average melee-only level 66 player. If you really want to survive in the wilderness, you need to train in more than one class. Honestly, you can't complain when you're something like 58-58-58 melee stats and 30 magic and range, then you get plastered by a guy with 90 magic and 90 range at your combat level. They obviously have an edge over you because they specialize in a class that has a natural advantage on melee. You need to become a smart player. Use things to your advantage, like maxing out your stats for your combat. This is exactly what pures do, and exactly why they can so easily kill you.

And he's talking about regular players who don't spend every waking minute for a few months working on a pure. Hell, I'm scared of going into the wild and finding some super pure with 99 range, and I'm 92 combat...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And not everyone wants to max out there stats, instead they just want to have fun. And that last statemend, "this is exactly what pures do, and exactly why they can easily kill you" only supports his argument. Pures make it much harder for regular players to fully enjoy playing, inculding having every advantage over unsuspecting newbs. Pures make it hard to fully enjoy this game.
