Reset?

I think runescape should have a reset. Just because It's not so fun to be high level anymore because in reality you really aren't a high level and someone else is better than you... seriously though.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I know people have spent* lots of time on runescape leveling up their characters and whatnot, but it would be cool for us not so high level-ers to finally get on that top list or not get pked by dudes in the wild and whatnot. I just think it would be cool. and it's been like 3 years since they released RS2. Yup tis time. :twisted:

If that were to happen there would be less players on RS. I surely wouldn't want to waste my time playing RS knowing it would reset like every month/year, knowing that all my hard work would be gone forever.

One of the most stupidest posts I have read in a while. Did you seriously think everyone is going to agree to this?

 

 

 

People have spent years/months getting their character to what they are now, and I know I wouldent apreciate my hard work just being reset like that, just because some low lvl wants to be on the top of the highscores or so they can survive in the wild.

If this idea were implemented, runescape would be over within a week. The mass exodus of long-time players would be so overwhelming, the servers would be shutdown, Jagex would move on and that would be that.

A solution to bothsides: Have a highscores version of the game, and your character will goto the "non highscore" part of the game after a year. Now the newbs have a chance at lots of fame with the highscores (lawlz) and the people with skills can keep them (h)

I just can't be for this. I personally wouldn't like it even though my levels aren't that high. I'd have to go and spend a while to bring my skills back to where they currently are. It's just not a good thing. Just think of all those poor trees that get cut down so people can get back to being able to fletch a decent type of wood. Also what would the point be in having all that armour on everyones account that can't be used because noone is of that level. To be honest it would cause the economy to crash and burn into a never ending spiral of decay where all items are crazily overpriced.

I have played a game, Zelderex, where this happens, and to be honest, the idea is absolutely ridiculous. This is necessary in Zelderex, as it is a game where as you get a higher level, it actualy gets easier, so the powerful get even more powerful, and that game gets extremely boring for everybody else. However, as RS is not like that, this is not at all necessary in RS, and if it was put in place, Runescape would lose an immense amount of players.

I have worked for it, and i got a few highscores (not so amazing ranks though :wink: ) but I would like to be able to keep this, and not be reset because some noob thinks that is the big solution to his personal problems.

 

 

 

Learn to work for what you get, if you are so desperate to get high ranks, or try to enjoy the game without thinking about the people that are better than you or have higher ranks.

hey I'm not some noob who's level 23 running around in steel chainmails! I'm level 60 and got me 400k that took me a VERY long time to get. You're all saying that you wouldn't play if you knew it would reset every 3 years? Well consider taht a good thing because then it gives other peeps different things to do other than play runescape. It would definantly weed out plenty of people. I don't know what it would be like but they wouldn't just make it the exact same thing every reset. When I was playing ROSE online Free Public Beta, they reset the stats of everyone every so often, which really made a lot of people angry, myself included.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Resets = bad idea.
