March 27, 200620 yr Basically, here's what we have left this month: The second of the Myreque updates is a journey-making minigame. With life becoming unbearable for the majority of the residents, many want to leave and seek out a better life on the other side of the Salve. Adventurers willing to accompany frightened villagers through the perilous Mort Myre swamps will be rewarded, but the challenge is great! Will you take the quick but dangerous path, or do you fancy the longer (but potentially less risky) scenic route? The choice is yours. Various rewards await those brave enough to try. So for any one who has done the quest, it looks like we will now get a chance to redo the taking Ivan through the vampires part of the quest over and over. The update may also give us reasons to go out smithing a bunch of steel half armor sets and silver sickles, or bringing food the odd swamp food to these people so that they can make it through the paths easier (both of those things were little-known options you could do with Ivan to allow him to have better defence or have food to eat to live longer). Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well. And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. When I'm sleepy - nothing is of any priority in front of sleep. But at any other time, I never slow down. Never give up. Never Surrender. Makes for a good life.[hide]YOU'RE GONNA CARRY THAT WEIGHT.- See You, Space Cowboy.[/hide][/hide]

Ugh, I'd hate it if it was the Ivan thing over and over. I could only do that in the first place by hiding him in a corner and blocking the monsters from attacking him. It does sound similar to it though, the whole option one or option two type thing from the last quest. I always like it when they connect updates with related quests instead of jumping from area to area though.

March 27, 200620 yr i think the minigame actually was in the quest, since it says theres 2 paths and you have to protect someone and get him to the temple
March 27, 200620 yr In my opinion, a great deal of that mini-quest is in the game already. They had to make up a whole new screen and a code to move you from one point to another with the follower. It sounds like all they need to do is tweak it to use other people and maybe modify the format of it a bit more for it to be implemented as a mini-game.
March 27, 200620 yr I take we will have to complete the quest before we can do this mini-game? I hope not...i don't fancy doing the quest that was releassed last week at all.
March 27, 200620 yr I havent done the new quest  But i think update is coming tomorrow... Combat lvl : 121/124
March 27, 200620 yr Doubt it will be today because they've been 1 day behind since a bank holiday a while ago. They may get it in 1 day earlier though... It does sound very similar to the quest but I doubt it will be the same as the quest. 99 Magic, 99 Defence, 99 Strength, 99 Attack, 99 Hitpoints, 99 Fletching, 99 Woodcutting, 99 Firemaking, 99 Thieving, 99 Ranged, 99 Prayer, 99 Cooking, 99 Fishing
March 27, 200620 yr Most recent updates have been released on wednesdays, so I don't think it will be today. No longer playing Runescape, I caught the WoW bug.
March 27, 200620 yr I dont really care about the minigame, i just want more servers.....*poof* 5 new worlds, wish granted And about the minigame, its probably gonna be some useless junk like 6 people will even go bother to check out and it will be kool the 1st day then nobody will use it just like canoes

I use them occasionally. Like with my treasure trail. Had me digging next to Champs guild. Lumby telly and canoe on up. But I don't know about this new mini-game. It sounds like you'll be doing the Ivan thing over and over again but starting from the Burghs. They'd have to give you something pretty special to keep it from dying out.
March 27, 200620 yr Wow, talk about lame update. Figuring Jagex had the code for it last week, why not just release it then and give us something good this week? Figuring this is gonna be the update anyway.
March 27, 200620 yr I wish they would stop with the lame quests and give us like a super hard one per month... Or a themed month like the desert month and they finish each themed month off with a super hard quest...
March 27, 200620 yr Author I wish they would stop with the lame quests and give us like a super hard one per month... Or a themed month like the desert month and they finish each themed month off with a super hard quest... You got the wish this month, eh? Anyways they do have a decent system now. If you look back, the 25, 50, 75, and 100th quest were all really big (I believe hero's, legend's, and desert treasure all fell in that). But too many huge/hard quests will need to have too many huge/good/game-revolutionizing rewards, and with too many of those it will begin to make everything in the game too strong (for an example look at rune armor and the smithing skill, can you imagine barrows armors becoming inferior soon with tons of huge quest rewards needing more room to push to?) Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. March 28, 200620 yr I wish they would stop with the lame quests and give us like a super hard one per month... Or a themed month like the desert month and they finish each themed month off with a super hard quest... Kwimbob basically said the right thing above. You've also got to think about the rest of Runescape and all of the members who are mid-way with their stats. Not all of us have 70+ in Combat stats. They have to think about all of the other players and what will make them happy, hence the number of quests that are mid ranged in the skills department. Now having lowish requirements for the quest doesn't mean it can't be good. It could have a good theme going along with it that ties other quests together. Plus I'd rather have a medium leveled quest that helps raise my skills rather than force me to fight a King Black Dragon. But of course that is of personal preference and I must remind you of how everyone is different and not everyone will be happy with Jagex's updates so you must suffer through them until they release something you like.
