can't wait to kill skillers doing wildy tag, at first that's what i thought they meant by "pest control" as I skimmed the post.

Hate 3/4 itemers. Well, not really - only when they flame about getting pked in a zone meant for pking

Look on the brightside... If April is this bad, they're basically forced to release Carpentry in May :P

Your logic confounds Jagex's design plan.

I see back to back months of updates for low levels to kick off the spring newbie recruiting season.

Its just business, you know.

The wildy one looks fun ;P

I wonder how much exp is a "generous" amount however.... if it takes an hour to do and only gives me 10k exp, I'd rather do boring old training....

Pest control looks awesome.... a good place to test out new weapons against monsters, the way I use fight pits and castle wars for pvp :)

With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

Well generally it seems that when there's a month that's overly bad, a great update comes the next month to compensate for it. I can tell this is going to be sub-mediocre though. Normally jagex flowers up their words and everyone gets all excited for the month when they post, expecting great things. Ordinarilly those 'great concepts' turn out to be pretty lame and useless and wrap up a typical month. With this one peopel aren't even the usual excited and 'tricked' into thinking that we're going to have a great month, meaning it's probably, like we're saying, going to be pretty bad. Just gotta hope for a compensating May (maybe with poh + carpentry?). :P

The second quest of the month will start on the pass from Varrock to the Salve Temple. An odd old man carrying a large sack of bones has a problem and will need your help to solve it. Why is he collecting all these bones? Why is the mysterious sack on his back making odd mumbling sounds? Although this quest is designed for low level players, high end players will find a better reward from the optional "big boned" list.

Maybe we get bone pouches or bone sacks after completing this quest

Do you guys ever, just once, want a break from updates to work on skills for a while?

Ha ha! Glad you asked sir! It's called quitting P2P! That's what I did and I've been mining and smiting and cutting wood (eventually burning it) ever since. I also wanted more quests and waiting for them once a month just wasn't good enough for me so I decided to quit being a member and wait until the summer to build up the quests and whatnot and now when I go back I'll have loads to do and discover.

On-Topic:

Anyone think that the PC vs NPC mini-game is the random adventures that Jagex once promised? I really would like to see that be developed. Otherwise this may be the God-War mini-game that many have asked for. Either way it looks like a good game to play and train at (it would be better if it gave slayer experience as well)

Meh

Today's quest was creepy-tastic, which I like. Too short, and not enough scary, though..

Doesn't look like a big month. Eggs and emotes for Easter? Originality please?

I hope that wildy tag is the first f2p minigame.

I will shoot down any one with my bitting wit, and sarcasm!

What POSSIBLE reason would someone have to make a fake like that?Does he profit from faking a picture like that? Does it help him at all?Jesus Christ, stop being so suspicious. This is Tip.it for God's sake, not RuneHQ. -_-

What do you think i'll be doing this month? Doing low level quests that should be f2p in the first place? No.

I hope the magical easter eggs are tradeable - Then after a bit we could be rich!

NEVER going to happen... it would be nice to get another skill like 85 slayer come out when I am a potent enough force to go nuts on it. I am a total noob when it comes to seniority in this game.

I paid for this game for the last 20 months... I liked the game 20 months ago and still like it today, i enjoy good updates and ignore bad ones. Ever since jagex started doing behind the scenes every months I have seen kids on these forums complaining that jagex has no originality and only comes up with bad updates all the time... What's the matter with you people? I know with freedom of expression I exposed myself to stupidity, cupidity and, mainly on these boards and in-game, to self-centered teens. You don't like new updates? Stick to what you like and post your ideas on the official forums... You think your hard-earned 5$ is not worth what Jagex gives you? Cancel your membership! Plz do... that'll mean less ppl cutting at magic to annoy me or picking snape grass on my peninsula... To Jagex and new updates I say: Bring 'em on! If I don't like them, I'll simply ignore them like I ignore Castle Wars.

To a degree you have a point, but this argument coming up so often gets just as annoying or more as complaints themselves. Yes, everyone's aware that it's bad to complain about jagex's updates because it annoys everyone else. That doesn't mean there's some unwritten rule though that we can't talk about what we like and dislike about what's coming up. And so what if people complain? As long as they give a reason to why they think something is bad, more power to them.

People act as if Jagex is doing us some huge favour by releasing updates, but the fact of the matter is, they're not. Sure, the membership fee is small in comparison to games like WoW and EQ, but you have to realize that they're very different games. At $60 / Year, Runescape membership is only $40 more than Xbox Live, which allows you to play ANY Xbox Live Enabled game. The only reason that Runescape is appealing to the average gamer is the consistent flow of new content. The graphics are obviously far below average, the gameplay is mediocre at best, and the community is nothing to get excited about.

Therefore, I believe any member has ample reason to give their opinion on the updates. If every month was like this one, I highly doubt Jagex would be growing at the rate it is today, and I'm sure many players are disappointed. I'm not saying that Jagex is doing a bad job, I'm just saying that this month has nothing that draws me in.

Reading back my post , I guess I got carried away. I will never deny the right to complain to anyone and I will respect a post build on strong arguments even if I disagree with the post itself. I guess i'm just fed up about people complaining before an update about what they think that update will be. And I find also ironic people threatening Jagex to cancel membership on these boards because, in their opinions, they make the game worse by giving us "bad" updates... Runescape have more than tripled their paying customers in the 2 years I've been playing... I guess they must do something right...

Back on topic (I tend to get off-topic very easily...): Multi players vs Multi Monsters mini game could be really nice.... I'm looking forward to this update.

I tend not to raise comparison between console internet capabilities or other MMPRPG for the simple fact that I don't play those games...
