When i am on a long amount of trips with no items, i just try and change kill count to about 25 for 1 ot 2 trips usually when i do this i get a few items in a row. Im starting to think KC only affects the amount of runes you get. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. FIRST day I did barrows i got 2x Dharok Legs - 1 Guthans SPear and AHrims hood. By friend TazN has currently (out of like 30 trips) got so much loot he has averaged 500k from EACH run technically. RangerSg4 Posted April 19, 2006 Share Posted April 19, 2006 Guys I am a very experienced barrows runner. If you look at my stats I do have 74 magic and 55 slayer to use magic dart. I have found out in almost 110 runs that a 6 Kill Count is actually more effective. Each time you kill a brother you have a chance of getting a piece of his equipment. When you kill other things in the tunnels it adds a better chance of getting runes,racks,etc.This decreases your chance for an item. In 110 runs I have accumilated 14 items in only doing 6 Kill Count. I have only receive a duplicate items twice meaning I have 2 Karils Tops and Bottoms. My runs include Full Guthan except the Helmet. I also have gotten a double item chest in one 6 KC run.(Dharocks Axe and Karils Top)So hopefully you will take my information and use it in your experiment. :D Hope I helped!! eev Posted April 19, 2006 Share Posted April 19, 2006 Even if it is proven a higher kill count DOES increase chances at barrows items, you'll need to sit down and think: "would I get more barrows items by doing less runs, but spending more time getting a higher KC, or would it be better to just do more runs in a shorter time frame?"
