firegizmoguy Posted April 20, 2006 Share Posted April 20, 2006 full verac is actually very useful for staking, i can make about 1mil a day using it without taking many great risks. also i have been kq'ing already and ive found it fine with 3 friends who are commited to get 3 d chain drops for all of us.all of us are about lvl 95 and we always kill the kq in one trip. In sad news, my computer broke down. So i will be delayed in the runs. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. I usually have a deficit (especially on minds), however, on my last run i killed more than usual bloodworms and had several more deaths AND minds. I had a couple of bloods (43), but no boltracks, a drop i usually get a substantial amount of. I think it can be assumed that different monsters in the tunnels drop different items? If you are going to be racking up a decent KC, try to make it on only one type of monster and record if you get more than usual of one reward. it'd be great to know which monster drops bracks (could be skellies or spiders, hoping spiders)... thanks alot Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Onanica Posted April 21, 2006 Share Posted April 21, 2006 excellent! i try to get a diverse number of monsters, and i've been getting erratic drops!!! example: i kill 14 monsters extra to get my 20 kill count, i kill 4 skeletons, 4 spiders, 4 bloodworms and 2 rats, and i get 110 bolt racks! the next run i do about the same, get no boltracks, but 80 bloods and close to 250 chaos! its so weird... i need to figure out what gives each rune and such, it'd be a great thing for me to tabulate... In my humble opinion, whether or not you get an item is COMPLETELY random. It doesn't matter what monsters you kill, what order you kill the brothers, how many monsters you kill, it is random every single time you open that chest. We all have our various... superstitions (such as myself. i get a 20 KC, open the chest after the 19th one and kill the 20th right on the chest pedestal), but in the end, only one thing can be derived: Barrows is a fun way to make money, meet cool people and even get a little mage training in. It is fast paced, action packed, and exciting! It appears there has been some confusion, the only thing that will increase your chance of finding the rare barrows armour and weapons is killing the brothers, your kill cound only affects tha ammount of regular items, such as runes or coins, that you find in the chest should you fail to recieve any barrows equipment.
