September 29, 200817 yr In Hell I Burn by Deicide. I didn't realize you were into death metal.. Just finished listening to Ire Works (Album) by The Dillinger Escape Plan. I don't know what's happened. I used to love this guys, but that is such a boring album. Moving onto Undertow (Album) by Tool. It's my least favourite of all their albums (though I haven't heard Opiate) but that might just be because I've never really given it a chance. So, I'm giving it a chance now. :) Cool.

So, I'm giving it a chance now. :) Death metal is growing on me, slowly but surely. The work of Chuck Shuldiner in Death well and truly got me into it. Now I consider Death one of my favourite bands, perhaps in my top 5 of all time. I'm now one album from owning their entire back catalogue, not including early 80's demos. It's not often that I'll like a band enough to buy all their material (another example would be Tool). Speaking of Tool, personally I think Undertow is a great album, it just shows a different side of their work. I tend to like a band that shows a bit of musical evolution through their career rather than 10 albums of the exact same thing. To keep on topic, at the moment I'm listening to Raining Blood by Slayer.
