lol i bought 250k essence the other day, cuz i thought that 29 gp was cheap ( i had been on holiday for a few weeks so didnt know that this was actually quite a high price ) and then got really depressed when it was impossible to sell unless i made a loss of like 1,5 mill.

 

 

 

So as I was concentrating on herblaw and cudnt be bothered to sell it i jst left it in bank.

Not a bad idea. Only thing that sucks is if i want to craft some airs, i have to go to F2P and mine.

 

 

 

No you don't. Pure essence can be crafted into ANY rune.

 

 

 

This is a pretty decent solution. By doing this, they have removed autoers largest customers, therefore making it a major blow against the macro community.

good point barihawk, but they also screw over to honest-to-goodness f2pers, such as myself... sheesh, punish the whole for the actions of some...

 

 

 

i used to make some good money selling ess 40 to the nat crafters in my clan, but no longer...

 

 

 

and now normal ess prices are going to rise, seeing as how all the ess miners are "gone".

Maybe Jagex thought that if the autoers make real money of the essence trade then we can make real money of them by forcing them to make p2p accounts for their macroers.

 

 

 

And maybe halfway through their first month ban them, forcing them to make another p2p account.

Anyway, I think I am going to like this new update. I'm that kind of person that doesn't mind getting his hands dirty. I have never bought a bowstring or flax in my runescape life. The only thing i buy is basically iron ore. It's just too frustrating to do that. When I was still f2p i was a miner and managed to get to 71 mining. And after that I thought no more.

 

 

 

But mining rune essence? I can see myself doing that.

 

 

 

And I collect sometimes a bit of essence during slayer tasks (got 80 slayer this week../pats myself on my shoulder).

 

 

 

The same for cooking. My friend asked me why i was fishing trout and salmon to get my cooking up. Just buy a few k raw lobbies, cook them, and sell them again. But where is the satisfaction in that?

 

 

 

I also got to 80 slayer without cannon or guthan.

 

 

 

Currently I still have 5k essence. That will last me a time. I just use it to make nats for high alching, and laws for teleporting. All for own use, not for selling.

 

 

 

So in conclusion, I actually like the new update. Things got a bit more difficult again, and that can only be good.

Runecrafting is my main source of money, in F2P and in P2P. I don't want to waste days and days just to get my desired amount of money. Congratulations Jagex for ruining a skill.

They had me worrying for a sec, lucky they made the essence already in your bank automatically turn into pure essence.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

pure rune ess is gonna be so much higher, then normal ess, and its gonna be alot harder, simply cuz not alot of members like mining rune ess.

 

 

 

 

 

this kind of blows, especially if you just ran out of rune ess lately

 

 

 

thats me, crafted about 60k laws through world 66 over the last week, did not see this coming :cry: ... but hey it's for the greater good i guess

Pros of the update

NB! Jagex might change the system until like the coming tuesday according to the reaction of the players & the market. They might make it high level to mine for f2p players or something like that, so watch out & don't burn your fingers merchanting pure essence :wink:

The biggest way i could see this working is that it forces the macroers to sign up to p2p. Now of course the most popular way to do this is by credit card, since most people (especially in this age bracket) would only have card it could be a nice solution a permanent ban.

 

 

 

Simply once you have been banned you cannot use the same credit card to sign up a members account. They could put in a time limit as well incase it was an error, say 3 months. Would be a nice way to stop them from just creating more accounts

I'm actually thinking about buying some f2p ess for making airs and fires. Hmmm...new opportunities.

Decent update anyways, was getting abit frustrated at how easy getting ricj with rcing was and now they clearly made it abit harder atleast. And to all guys who are whining about "jagex ruining the rc skill", IN YOUR FACE!

This means there will be significantly less GP available to the F2P economy... indicating that F2P Rares (gilded, god, etc.) will have no choice by drop in prices...

wait....so if your f2p and have normal ess, but then go to p2p, they turn pure? i dunno if thats what your saying or not, but if so...

 

the macroers will just save up enough ess to make it worth it, put 500k ess on a char, turn it p2p, get the pure ess, sell and boom, 3x the money they would have made....interesting...

Normal ess prices will fall, pure ess prices will skyrocket.
