The price fluctuations on the forum are fascinating. Sellers started pushing 100ea, buyers sticking to 30, now buyers are slowly realising noone will sell and the price is slowly rising.

 

I'm sure the price will rise, because of the lack of new ess, it's just a question of how much.

 

I've pitched my ess at 50 ea, which is lower than most people, and i don't really care if prices rise more than that long term - in and out with a bit of profit is good enough for me.

Pure Essence will go 150gp+ a unit once the stockpiles people have begin to deplet. If you ask me, punishing a whole group of people when only a few are offending is a bad way to operate.

 

 

 

If jaqex wanted to approach the problem, then i'd say that it might be best to ban people under the level X before reviewing the evidence. If it comes up on the macro detection system and they are under said level then they are banned, then the evidence is reviewed, rather than vice versa. It would really put out alot less people than the current 'fix'.

Good to see JaGex taking more action against autoers. There should be a reasonable price [bleep]e on pure ess because of panic buying. It will be interesting to see where it stabilises and how fast.

 

 

 

Short term good news for me though, training rc on bodies! Normal ess on f2p will crash in price (no doubt the Rants forum will be getting a few hits over the next couple of days).

i really dont understand, arent p2p nat crafters and rune craft trainer is the one really being screwed up? supply deacreased, price will raise and consumers suffer, not the autoers! :(

Both members and free players got screwed this time... free players can't sell their normal ess to members (most members buy ess for nats/laws) and members can't get it cheap from f2p. Ess is gonna go way up... =/

Considering pure ess is already going for 65gp per on the official forums, I am going to say that'll go 150+.

Prices arn't going that bad, some people are selling for 30-50 each still which is ok. Some though, try to take advantage of the new ess by selling prices such as:

Agree with oregg about prices (not so sure about f2p). Rune prices are effectively capped, this will knock on to ess prices. However, it is not infeasible that lower level 'pure runes' such a cosmics will now become loss making due to the value of XP being factored in. An example of this is leather and leather goods where the finished product is worth less than the raw material (considerably less in the case of leather).

p2p mercianters are gona make milions... 100k normal ess is 100k high lvl ess now... that ess is going rare becuz there arnt mutch p2p ess miners... i geuss 1k new ess would get bitween 100 and 150 each... becuz the runes are 300+ each (mutch more when you are making nats bobble...) the f2p ess will drop becuz of all autoers... and there isnt any f2p making airs or something... becuz of the nats are more profit able...

 

 

 

or all f2p bots would get member and spam the wole ardy and varock there... theyll make more money then they maded befor... so... more profit... they fixed the problem for free to play but theyll get member for sure...

THe majority of ess crafted in p2p originally comes from f2p miners which is where the autoers are. THis is just a method of removing the cash flow from p2p to f2p autoers

stop crying about it and deal with it. Runecrafting was to easy to make money. So this is a good update.
