Lmao, some guy just logged on and started selling his 90k pure ess for 30 ea and got about 50 people pming him :P

prices will go down. Nobody will buy at these prices and merchants are taking advantage of the 'panic' atm

p2p cant use f2p ess for nats etc... they need p2p ess miners to get it...

 

f2p can mine f2p ess and use it for crafting basic runes...

THe majority of ess crafted in p2p originally comes from f2p miners which is where the autoers are. THis is just a method of removing the cash flow from p2p to f2p autoers

I wouldnt be neccesarily worried about the essence prices,but more worried about the price of natures and law runes shooting up now back to 500 a nature.

Only members with 30+ mining can get pure ess. Free players can just mine the normal ess.

The gamble is all part of the fun ;)

 

If you bought it yesterday for 30 you can make a definite profit of 10-20 ea now. If you wait a few days until people start to get worried, you might make a profit of 40-60. Or the price might go back down and you make no profit at all :P

 

 

 

I reckon it won't drop back below 50ea now, so in that case you can't lose by saving it for a few days. But it might...

 

 

 

Btw, if you plan on crafting deaths/laws/nats any time soon, definately save it.

Ess will probably go more then it is now because now lots of people are selling large amounts of pure ess for 50gp, to make a quick buck. In a few days, because there are no more f2p miners, there will be less ess around and the prices will go up more.

Seeing that people will pay $5 to auto flax and that the price of pure ess will probably stabilise around 150 gp, this will encourage some people to move to p2p. All they need is 30 mining and they're good to go :x

 

 

 

On the other hand this is a great opportunity for the lower lvls on p2p, you can mine ess continually as opposed to coal which is in the same price range and it's way faster then lobbies, which only sell good in huge amounts or raw.

 

 

 

I think Jagex made a right decision and executed it perfectly, no advance warning, not on an update day. Sure a lot of people will be angry, some honest f2p miners will be out of bussiness (although fire rune crafting with dueling rings will be more popular), but the autoing 'community' got a good kick in the ... :twisted:

I was in the middle of a trade with another member for 90k ess at 25 ea. Up pops the system update. I noticed that I was a tad shy so I went back to the bank. She sells of 10k. I ask her why instead of sell all to me and by the time we trade for the rest the update hits... needless to say she isn't selling it to me for 25 ea anymore. :lol: .... :cry:

 

 

 

 

 

Anywho, I think that the people who, without a doubt, WILL suffer regardless of the situation is f2p newbs... so I went there and gave away all my iron bars worth of iron sets to lvl 10s and below to lessen the impact in an INCREDIBLY small way. Then I get two lvl 3s to fight in their new iron sets and tell them I will pay the victor 10k and the loser 5k when I tele to him in lumby. The fight was pretty one-sided so the losing party x logged to keep his iron lol. It was pretty dang funny I thought. The other guy got the full 15k. :P I was thinking that I had picked a good guy until he started begging for more money immediately after the trade. :x Go figure.

If nats rise to 500 ea i will be a happy man.. it would mean saving really does pay in the long term, 650K natures banked FTW :wink: but realistically it will only rise to it's previous glorious price of 400 at best.

This will drop or raise the prices of law nats deaths and all the other member only crafts.. This ruins my plan for 91 rc :(

I don't see why you guys feel the need to post the new update before everyone else.. Maybe for a self-esteem boost?

 

 

 

As for the update, it was the first one that I have liked in months. However, they don't seem to have noticed yew log cutters. When I went on a f2p world and I was in varrock castle, I look to the north and I see 7 people cutting yews. I look at their level, and they were all level 6 or below :shock: . With the report abuse button, you can only report one person per minute, so it's pretty useless. Maybe it was just like that on the world I was on, but maybe they should improve the report abuse button since they can't be everywhere at once.

Urgh, the people trying to push nats up are really annoying me.

 

The suggestion that a 20 gp rise in the price of ess merits a 100 gp rise in the price of nats is ridiculous.

Pure essence will probably stabilisize at 40-60 ea. It's still easy to mine it and nats will be around 325-350 ea. It's just stupid trying to get 400+ ea for nats.

 

 

 

I'm sure this update will kick some macroers away, but they will just go members seeing more profit. You get 30 mining in very short time and very easily and the price rise for pure ess will make profit even if you have to pay for members. I can't really see how this helps in anyway, just makes high alching less profitable and maybe it's good? No more "free" mage xp with yew bows and such?

Smart. Even though I'm not that much of a fan of runecrafting, anymore.

 

JaGeX sounds a little cocky when they kept telling us about how they can track down all the macro'ers and the runescape/real-life traders.
