Ok... I need some help. And all ideas are welcome... this thread is for brainstorming together.

 

 

 

The basic idea is this:

 

 

 

Attack - 1

 

Strength - 1

 

Defense - 60

 

Hits - 10

 

Magic - 1

 

Prayer - 1

 

Range - 1

 

 

 

And the other skills can have any level.

 

 

 

These skills will create a combat level of 18.

 

 

 

If you have ANY ideas that will raise any other combat stats than defense, I will not even bother trying them.

 

 

 

So far, these are some of the suggestions:

 

 

 

Working:

 

None have yet been proven to work for various reasons

 

 

 

Not working:

 

 

 

Ring of recoil - Doesn't give exp

 

Poison - Doesn't give exp

 

Long range - Gives range exp

 

Confuse - Gives magic exp

 

Varrock dummies - You can only train attack on them

 

PC - Must have 40 CB to get into it now

 

 

 

Theres probably a couple more that I've missed.

Quests - Will do later

 

Tears of Guthix - Goes along with quest

 

Jenie lamps - Takes to long to try

 

Long range with cannon - Will do soon

Impossible :). Unless you do genies all the way.

Hmm... I haven't got any real advice except for that which has already been said, but one thing to add is a list of the Quests that give defence experience, yes you probably cannot do any of them, but it's something to look at I suppose.

Genie lamps till 25 then mini games till 60 --> One small favour quest when you get to lvl 30 def(20k xp)

 

Thats the only way unless you kill things with your 1 atk and str

Undead, that wouldn't work. It'd get you HP exp.

long range gives defence xp... atleast I thought it did. after you get a few defence levels, wouldn't range levels not count towards combat?

It is impossible through training the normal way (without using minigames) train defence without touching the HP exp. Everytime you hit something, it gives def level but also gives HP

 

 

 

The only way is by quest awards, Lamps are possibly the most unreliable method to get it because you need 8 lamps alone to get through lv 1 (Lamp Exp is always the level of the skill * 10)

Train defence to level 3 on tutorial island, and then do any quests that you can recoil to kill challenging enemies, then, when theres no more def only quests, you gotta lamp up to 25.

 

 

 

As of now, you need a ton of lamps, but some quests reward decent lamps, and you could just cook or something to lure randoms to yourself.

 

 

 

I doubt anyone will manage to do it with what we have avaliable, but a def PURE pure would be sweet for skilling.

Theres only 1 quest that gives deense exp, and you need 30 defense to do it.

 

 

 

Right now I'm level 3 defense on tutorial island since it doesn't give any hp exp.

 

 

 

I'll probably just have to lamp to 25 then minigame the rest of the way.

 

 

 

I could train to 25, but I'd end up with 17 hp, which would give me a lvl 19 pure. I could do that, but I think that every level counts here...

whats the point of a defence pure if 10 1hits will kill him? surely its best to have some hp, even if its only 20. str pures would own you

maybe he wants to be level 18 with dragon lol, why do people make level 13s with rune weps?

hmm, try doing quests that dont give hp but give def xp, and genie lamps to 25, then ther u can do the minigame =) gl with that

i know a way but it would be illegel to discuss here.

use mage, train curse at the scorpions on defensive, u get defence ex and mage exp but no hits exp

that wouldnt work, because you actually need to deal damage to the creature in order to get def exp (1 for 1 point), and that would still lv your hp

Wilderness Tag features a series of pillars dotted around the entire of the wilderness, with players being invited to tag them, similar to the way the Agility Arena works but without the timers. Be careful, though, it is the Wilderness after all.

Are you sure about that? I think that you can get genies while skilling, too.

 

(Imagine a level 13 wearing full gilded!)

Genies would take way to long! Just kill Chickens till 25...

Then I'll still get hits exp...

 

 

 

After calculating though, I could kill chickens to 25 then do the mini game to 60 and still be level 18. Just doesn't feel the same having 13 hits instead of 10... :roll:

 

 

 

Mabey I'll wait till that wildy tag thing comes out... is it out yet?
