April 30, 200620 yr Frizoid is correct. Reporting abuse is most effective when Jagex does not know the abuse is going on- that's what the tool is for. But when any staff member can log into any world and see 30 autoers, filling up their queue of things to read with numerous reports of the same people is not effective. The reporting parties are rather counterproductive in that manner. yeah whatever u want  It's like writing a petition to the fire department to tell them to come put out a fire. so there's this thread in p2p general called "the most annoying things ppl do on runescape" i am tempted to post "ya wen im cybering with a girl and they log off for no reason"
April 30, 200620 yr In case you didn't know, Jagex does absolutely nothing in response to f2p reports. I doubt f2p reports are even sent to them.... I for one have reported countless people as macros, without one ban. There people were obviously macros too, and i take every precaution to expose them as such. 1. They are lvl 3 2. They usually have a chinese name 3. They are cutting yews. 4. Their private chat is off. 5. No response when talking to them 6. No response while trading them 7. They say things at random, the same things over and over again. 8. They have the default appearance. After all of this evidence, there is absolutely no doubt that it is a macroer, and I report them within one minute, (so the snapshot captures my efforts), and Jagex does nothing. They are still on the highscores, and no confirmation letter appears in my message box. In addition, I have not only done this once, but over 30 times, and without one ban.
April 30, 200620 yr Best of luck stopping the Macro'ers, Im here rooting you on as I type this, I'll even pop by some free worlds and do what I can. As I was reading this topic, I thought of a (Well, horribly stupid idea, yet it may work..) Jagex could just close off the "create an account" so once the macro'ers are banned they couldn't create another 'throwaway account', although this would actually stop real people from playing too.. (that's why its a bad idea lol but an idea nonetheless) Maybe they should try this for a week or two, see what happens? That way they could start banning off at least some of the Macro'ers, and hopefully the yew trees will be saved, for now..
April 30, 200620 yr Make all Runescape P2P :P that will stop or hopefully derter those stupid bloody autoers btw there also always cutting west of draynor just north of port sarim
April 30, 200620 yr its fun but pointless to report...they just make new accounts Click for mah Blog!- I'm not sure why you would though because i never update it Achieved 99 Thieving 3/10/07-992nd to it
April 30, 200620 yr They won't make pure yews or anything like that, they'll just drop the alchemy value of yew longbows. [/bads]
April 30, 200620 yr lol to be fair u will probably get banned ureself for "abuse of the report abuse button" Sig by me....
April 30, 200620 yr Doesn't anyone else see what's coming? Pure ess was to counter the autoers, it did work, but it made f2p ess worthless. My guess is that "pure yews" is coming next, which makes only members yews fletchable. Next is "pure coal", which is needed to smith addy and up, then pure this and pure that, until f2p goods are completely worthless. Then autoers will still be unstopped on f2p and jagex will make runescape just p2p. In IMO, p2p only rs is coming. Be warned. :^_^: I drew that smilie, btw, along with a few more used by this site.Classic bloodveld for lyph3! Although I do like the new ones.Like a ninja, here I was, gone I am now.BUT! I may be back! Add my new account, Dr Bloodveld!

April 30, 200620 yr dont the bots hop when a mod speaks? what if jagex puts there every 5 minutes a fake mod signal, that way they have to keep hopping and they dont have time to chop. I was once at the airport with my friends in California, had to go "potty" really bad, and just pissed my pants in the middle of the terminal. (All the cool kids piss in their pants, right?)barrows loot: lost countdaga king loot: lost count :p

May 1, 200620 yr This is insane. What we need is something that will stop bot users for good. Reporting and banning them is like pouring a cup of water into the ocean. ARENAscape: Baratus [AS] max hit: 166 with Moon Battle Hammer ixfd64 [AS] max hit: 116 with (untitled spell #2)
