In the Customer Relations team we have over two thirds of our Moderators dedicated to processing your abuse reports as quickly as possible, as well as dealing with macro users and real world traders. Jagex Moderators are also assigned to tracking where the profits of cheating have gone, resulting in the banning not only of scam accounts but also of the main accounts of those who persist in scamming. In addition to this, we are constantly recruiting honest player moderators to help us to identify and remove disruptive elements from the game.

 

 

 

Beyond the Customer Relations team our Content team is constantly looking into ways to alter the game itself to reduce the ability for people to cheat, for example the recent creation of the Bank PINs and the essence mine changes.

 

 

 

The main source of information on rule breakers comes from you - our players. Every abuse report we receive is actioned accordingly and will be recorded on the offending player's permanent record. Processing the abuse reports cannot be done instantly, and action taken happens behind the scenes, so we cannot guarantee that you will always see the offending player being removed from the game - however the good news is that we are now more successful than ever at processing abuse reports quickly and seeking to educate players. Those who are not willing to be educated are removed.

 

 

 

So if you are a honest player, you can do your bit to help all this by sending in Abuse Reports whenever you see someone breaking the rules. You can also help yourself by keeping both your account and your PC safe - advice on how to do this being found in the Knowledge Base.

 

 

 

And if you're a dishonest player you can do your bit by stopping breaking the rules now.

 

 

 

We will find you and we will ban you if you don't play by our rules.

Statements like this are issued every once in a while so players who started since the previous statement and have never bothered looking through the site will know how Jagex enforces the rules. You see, Jagex knows that people can't be bothered to actually read rules, so they make what seems to be a new update to trick people to read them and scare them off from macroing.

Yup, we've got our own thought police and everything. :P

 

I probably look too much into things but jagex just seems to act like a massive restricting censoring government. It doesn't show through as much in this one (since it's about how they supposively restored order to the world) but I just see a ton of parallels to oppressive governments in the way they operate, just on a different kind of scale.

These sort of statements from jagex are tiresome. They say they are improved yet on all of the f2p worlds the amount of autoers is just insane. If anything it seems to be getting worse.

 

 

 

Hopefully things will change when they update the game engine with that new stuff they talked about in the May BTS.

i don't know how they choose mods... i have sent nearly 200 report abuse reports ( and no not all of them auto'ers ) and never gotten a reply back... once once on my very first account did i ever get a reply and that was for a lvl 22 saying they he had scammed meright in my face :?

If so then maybe thats why you aint be asked, or maybe they just don't want to ask you, or maybe bad luck?

You do know that even if you have 3 black marks that you still have the chance to be picked out as a pmod right? (under some conditions ofcourse, such as changed behavior and so on)

Jagex' trying to sound like there doing something for the community. LOL. I don't buy it, and guess I don't really care either, I never see anyone auto where I train so they don't really affect me.

Personally I believe Jagex is a bunch of stallers.

 

 

 

This is how it works.

 

1)The threaten

 

2)Randomly give black marks (to me)

 

3)You send query thinking it will be fix

 

4)Your pushed away

 

 

 

I like the game, but there service to everything horrible. And they just do random thigns to make it look like they are actually doing there job.

 

 

 

They have been targeting a lot of innocent players as myself.

off topic, I know, but I'm sure this was mentioned when the Knowledge Base first came out, it was late by at -least- a year and a half.

 

 

 

That being said, they never should have been thinking about huge new updates (slayer skill, Barrows, and farming) without helping people understand how to play the game to that point.

 

 

 

Sure, there are a lot of brats who play this game and never try to figure anything out for themselves, but it's ridiculous how little information was actually available in the "manual" before.

 

 

 

Anyways, glad to see the knowledge base has been added, so I'll stop my griping... :)

 

 

 

As for the latest threat/update, I recently did receive a message about a report I had made... though it was the first in about 3 months.
