May 16, 200620 yr I know there is some musicians on this board, and i was wondering (yes im a nerd) if anyone has ever had been in a concert that has played any final fantasy music, and pulled it off? Id just like to do know if a highschool band would be able to pull it off. If found a compleatly leagle source of getting the sheet music for the Final fantasy VII main theme, and the sheet music for One winged angel. I know its possible for me, ive looked over the trumpet peices so many times, and know i can play them all... although im kinda worried about the flutes, clarinets, and alto saxs... Please tell me if this is the wrong boared. (Edit: thx, can a mod plz move this?) Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! Behave or I will send my Moose mounted Beaver launchers at you!
May 16, 200620 yr This would be better at M&M forum as it is music related. Also change the title of your post, this is too vague. If you get a better fitting title more people will reply, and thus you got more chance on a better answer. May 16, 200620 yr Our school band has practiced with it, and is planning to play it at marching competition next year. :D I think they're wanting to do Areths' (sp?) theme.
May 16, 200620 yr I played the opening riff of the FF7 boss battle theme at a gig once, then realised where I was and stopped. Most people didn't get it. Dreaming of that face againIt's bright, and blue, and shimmeringGrinning wideAnd comforting me with it's three warm and wild eyes
May 16, 200620 yr I have an mp3 on my computer of Celes' aria in FF 3/6 sung as a proper opera. Other than that, I've never heard much of it. May 16, 200620 yr Id really like the two FFX-2 songs on mp3. :) One is nice and uplifting and the other contrasts it. But, no ive never heard FF music outside of the game. :(
May 16, 200620 yr Azvy send me some music of "The Black Mages" or something, they play Final Fantasy music as well. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
May 16, 200620 yr Apocalyptica have done the ending theme of Final Fantasy 2, Celtic Moon, live somewhere. I've heard it and it's smashing. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
May 16, 200620 yr Azvy send me some music of "The Black Mages" or something, they play Final Fantasy music as well. Yeah, they remake old Final Fantasy soundtracks into "metal/rock versions", extremely good, I might add (some songs, where they have vocals, are a bit odd though, but they grow on you.) They also have the original composer/creator of the Final Fantasy soundtracks in the band (Nobuo Uematsu) on organ. They're worth a listen.
May 16, 200620 yr PM me the sheetmusic please? I'll let ya know if it's do-able for the "average" highschool band or not...plus I wouldn't mind giving it a try myself. However, it really depends on your band's ability. Not even as a whole, just how well each individual can play. I know my school band is horrible this year, it's only me and three flutes who can actually play really well. So as far as really cool tough pieces go, our band can't handle it, unfortunately  All depends on your bandmates. :x
May 16, 200620 yr Oh DUDE! The Black Mages do Vamo Alla Flamenco?! :P Sa-WEET! :D This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
May 22, 200620 yr http://www.ocremix.org/f/?&offset=50&limit=50&sort= Overclocked Remix is god. Check out the FF6 and seven sections. And anyone who ever played FF7 HAS to listen to Red XIII's theme preformed live: http://www.ocremix.org/songs/Final_Fant ... _ReMix.mp3
May 22, 200620 yr Wow. Trapical, big Air Five coming your way!! :D This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
May 22, 200620 yr Yeah, Black Mages are an amazing band. Recording some covers wouldn't be too hard, but playing em live.. not so sure about. If you attempt it tho, record so we can all hear.
May 22, 200620 yr The California State University at Bakersfield played pieces from Final Fantasy, composed by Nobuo Uematsu (this guy is just a master) and arranged by Arnold Morrison. Go to: http://www.nobuouematsu.com/mp3.html The recordings are there. :) 1. A Journey Through Final Fantasy VIII 2. The Best of Final Fantasy VII There's a lot of orchestral pieces for Final Fantasy readily available to buy so check it out. :) Adventurer's Log || YouTube || Facebook || Tip.it Times Work || Wanna Join the Editorial Panel?Maxed Out 01 October 2012 PDT
May 23, 200620 yr Author Id buy every single CD that has final Fantasy music on it made by Nobou Uematsu, but no store in my area sells them i think. Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! Behave or I will send my Moose mounted Beaver launchers at you!
May 24, 200620 yr I love Aeriths theme. You can play it on RuneScape(Dream from the jukebox[please correct me if I'm wrong])
May 24, 200620 yr Should be able to. The one you're 'meant' to play (as in, trigger a reaction) is the main theme, but you can play that tune with a bit of thought. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
May 25, 200620 yr I don't know of a school who has played FF music but I have been wanting to play some video game music in band...
