I went to the ''recover a locked account'' and then typed in my username and email address and put the ''somone as changed my password'' option. Then i type in my recevery question, my pin number for my bank in Runescape, previous passwords, my postcode, when did i succesfuly loged in and my new password. Then in ''give additional details'' space, I wrote when i created my account, when did i create my first my membership and all kind of things like that. So then i send, then get a tracking ID so i write it in the place you have to write it and got my account back. When my account got locked and I had to answer those recovery questions, it seriously felt like a game show. It had been almost a year since I had created the questions, and I seriously wished I'd made less complicated ones. @_@ After several tries though, they decided it was good enough and unlocked my account. limparse Posted May 20, 2006 Share Posted May 20, 2006 Ok my denials where all in about 2 minutes. Ive had the last request pending for about 34 hours. Has it taken anyone else that long. This was my tenth try, and cant believe its taking this long. Actually called and got the ID number from worldpay but havent been able to submit it b/c only one request at a time. BTW i'm having real problems with the way this thread views. pops up as a right to left page and all the characters are in unicode squares. i got my account back in about 22hours, i was advised that my recovery questions had been reset and to log in and set new recovery questions. when i did log in with my new password i found i was locked again??i had no option to reset the recovery questions as it was locked. so i sent as much info as i could and i am still pending and to date that was 36 hours ago!! so your not on your own :cry: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Took me 3 dang trys to convince Jagez it was my account I was trying to get back,, which is actually a good thing, but a major pain in the ***... Still really do not understand what the heck happen, but dang what a shocker when you can't get into your main account. This issue that happened, wouldn't been a issue if users done as they were told! We can only advise users here what and what not to do and we try to keep all users safe here as well as uphold jagex rules here as well. When we realised there was a problem on this server, i straight away contacted Andrew direct with all the information i had to hand to try and help you guys from losing your accounts. Andrew has done alot as well as his staff the past couple of days trying to help all that was caught up in this. They are extremly busy there over this issue but also over new engine they put in. It is the weekend and so, they wouldn't i doubt have many staff on. All I can say, is be patient with Jagex and please NEVER use the same password for here as on Jagex. ANy site could of got hit with what we got hit with , so please make suere your runescape passwrod does not match any other site or any chat services you use! Those that seem to be having serious problems getting their accounts back, if you still no joy on it in 24 hrs, post back here and i see if i can help in someway. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. Try to find that. Also, fill in everything else that you can. Try to remember if you set any recovery questions, and if you can't remember, then answer them as best as you can. Mention in the details area that you might not have set recovery questions. Also, try to put where you were when you last logged off, what you were wearing, when you last logged on/off, your bank PIN if you have one (note that the seperate space for a PIN is NOT your in-game bank PIN, it's for something else; put your bank PIN in the details part), and anything else you can think of about your account. Other things you could put would be when you started playing; when you became a member (if you ever did), if you became a member and then stopped paying and when that was; and things in your bank that you can remember. Try to remember old passwords as well (there's 3 blanks for those). There is a limeted space on the Details form, but that's ok. If you don't get automatically accepted, go ahead and send it to customer support. If they decline it (use the Tracker to find out what the status is), then try again while putting all the information you couldn't fit last time onto the details sheet. You should get your account back withen 5 tries (it took me 3). Hope it helps. :D By the way, keep a positive outlook if you can. I know how it feels to panic (remember, it too kme 3 tries and that took 30 minutes), and trust me, you don't want to do that. You'll get your account back, just keep trying. ( i have a good memory eh? ) what did i died to ? add in information which is almost impossible to get by any hackers.. i don think hackers will noe who is ur 1st rsn or whatever.. i hope it will help.. even if its a minor help Which FF Character Are You? Go to Runescape's website, read the bulletin and then run over here. My usernames are the same, but passwords are different and I still got locked, got my account back in about an hour. Lighting, how, if they database wasn't hacked, did they get our usernames and passwords? In what manner did Jagex decide to lock accounts, was it random, or did you send them your database? How long has the information been being leaked? Im not upset, I still love it here (have been reading the forums everyday since August, just don't post too often) and guys, don't freak out, its just a game, I've spent alot of time on my character but if I loose it, I loose it, you can make a mill back in a day. My MSN account was also hacked. Lost 2.3k raw sharks. Yes im angry but Tip.it are far too great for flame wars. You win some, you lose some. I managed to recover my accounts successfully with reasonable ease. :( :( And no lol why do you always want to get stuff from John Lewis. Its over ̣̉300 more then than what i paid. What I really think Jagex needs to do is unlock all of our accounts, and ask us to then submit a Password Recovery Query WITHOUT the Card transaction stuff... Right now, Jagex has just killed a bunch of their players for almost no reason, when most of us were having absolutely no problems with our accounts... Either way, if Jagex doesn't get this fixed soon, they're gonna lose a bunch of players... _______________________ Ya think it is smart for people to use the same passwords on different sites? So damn lucky I got it back. Word to the wise: Keep all your agreement numbers on file. I had 3 of mine, got it back within 10 minutes.
