I liked ur guide alot. But IMHO u should leave ur hp as low as possible. Lets say that u hav 85 hp, but ur lvl pure melee has 70 hp. That pure melee has an advantage this time, cause hes about 3 or 4 str lvls ahead u, and I think that almost every pure keeps their hp lower than 30 in a fight, so I recommend that keep ur hp as low as possible.

 

 

 

Second thing. I trained alot on monks, when i was low lvl cause: they have pretty good hp at their lvl, they heal themselfs quite often, they wont hit very often, excelent respawn time, and u wont need any food, cause u can heal urself on em.

Monks are really good early on, but the problem is that theyre pretty spread out throughout that monastery.

 

 

 

Oh and for the HP idea, yeah i suppose you're right if you are pure melee, but since i'm usually all ranged and melee for the final blow, strength isnt really all that a big issue for me... :roll:

I'd just like to point out that you mentioned that you dont wear an ammy of power when you go range pking. Well I suggest you take it and when you switch to melee, wear your str ammy.

anti-dragon breathshield and iron kite are VERY similar in stats.

 

 

 

However, ALL metal shields lessen your Magic Attack ALOT. (except the anti-dragon breath shield)

well... before reading this i had the same targeted lvls as u.. except i was told that prayer was the way to go..

 

after reading this i realise its not... but alas.. my pker is ruined and i have wasted 400k and stupid bones... ruffle... start again time..

HP IS ULTRA USEFULL . To that guy who siad that it isnt ... try going to wildly with a lvl 30 pker ( lol ) that has 20 hp ... a maeg will 2-3 hit you ...

 

 

 

And as for the def ... i noticed 10 def with full leather ( lol ? ) gives a great def ( dunno how ) and only 1 combat lvl ( 37 to 38 ) . Rather good ...

Few questions here Tsunami.

 

1) I have a str pure, lvl 40 att, 46 str (still going), 1 def, 1 everything else, 40 hp lvl 39 cmb. Training on lvl 9 al-kharid warriors is very close to the bank, close to the kebab seller (buy them with money dropped from warriors) and seems pretty fast. What are your thoughts on trainign here?

 

2) I am in the works of a mage pure (1 str, def, att, 22 range, 41 mage, 19hp) he's lvl 24 and has wind blast. I trained this mage with curses (took bloody forever) and was wondering if i should be using fire bolts in order to gain hp and if its faster?

 

3) Which world do you buy your bronze and iron arrows from? I currently have about 55k and was doing so buy merchanting arrows ;) I found addy worked best (buy 100 ea, sell 160-200 ea) but people dont tend to sell me addy arrows. So what's the best world for buying from Lowe?

Hey there. Just incase all the other posts hadn't gotten through to you yet, this is a really superb guide. Proper bo etc.... :) I've never tried pking really, only the odd trip to wildy when I felt an irresistable urge to die. You've inspired me to atleast have a go at making a pure now that I know what to do and what not to do. I've also started using some of those training spots for my main too. Kudos to you! but if you click on the 2h it automatically unequipps the shield i think. that' why i use it.

 

 

 

i just use magic to raise my hp without upping my combat (and becasue i am an anti walker) range is fun for me (now if they made a solid-gold coif it would be better) and melee is just becasue. i'm trying to get to like 70 mage and range to get my hp up to phenominal levels =) so thats what i think.

PROS

 

- Level 9's with 19 HP

 

- Close to bank

 

- Plenty of them

 

- All of them are crammed in those rooms.

 

- Close to Food

 

 

 

CONS

 

- "Aggressive"

 

- Multi-Combat Zone.

 

- May be crowded.

 

 

 

If you consider a training spot to "seem pretty fast" - then yes, stick with it. In my opinion, the advantages WAY surpass the disadvantages - especially by the fact that theyre level 9 with 19 hp. As long as you take care with your hitpoints, and ALWAYS carry food along with you, it's an effective training spot.

Fire Bolts is much faster - but much more expensive. However, I dont see why you train separate pures. If you have a decent strength pure with a suitable amount of "melee" levels - you are able to gain a considerable amount of magic levels without gaining a combat level. Same applies for ranged. (This does NOT apply for Prayer)

 

 

 

I suggest you check the tip.it combat calculator to experiment with goals and expected combat levels.

 

 

 

Oh yes, and HITPOINTS are VERY important. Fire Blast is used by any pkers from levels 39-48, they hit 16 maximum. You'll die in 2 hits if you're not careful. To be honest, I suggest you start training magic on your strength pure, rather than creating separate pures - and utilize offensive magic spells for training - so that you can gain hitpoints. What good is a pure if it cant survive for 3 rounds?

There is no best world - its just dependent on who gets there first :wink:

 

However, I suggest that you merchant iron and bronze. You wont be able to sell for those prices if you dont have enough of them :P

i m f2p to (always been) and i can get 31k xp an hour and with picking arrows up!!

 

 

 

i trained at ice giants in wild, but they removed the safe spots with the wildy update.

 

So now i train on lessers at crandor.

 

When i kill a lesser and pick my arrows, the next lesser respawns, so its a perfect timing.

 

And if there are more peeps training u can just chaise em away by ranging both lessers the same time for a few minutes.

I've tried out the safespot in Crandor. It's not the crowds thats the problem - I just find it alot slower to train there, my arrows never seem to hit lessers...maybe it's just me. :lol:

Just wanted to say great guide, seriously helped me out in training my pure up.
