Deleted this post because I found another topic where it was more relevant and didn't want to get flamed for double posting. :)

Why is 'common sense' so named, when there is so little of it about?

Welcome to puberty, we've been expecting you.

To the topic starter:

5 billion would be 1k players spending 5 million.

But you said they spend 50 million, so that comes to

50,000,000,000 or 50 billion.

Seems you should be complaining more  .

Also, the best throne in the game, which is the only piece to show off the lvl 99 carpentry, costs about 25 million. It uses 25 magic stones, and each one of those costs just about a million each :o

doesnt show off lvl 99 carpentry as much as it just shows you are rich, because i'm sure the first to 99 will sell a bunch of flatpack versions of the throne, for 50-100m

I'm 99% sure you can't flatpack thrones :P

Already checked and yes they arn't flat-pack-able. :D

amen

I was once at the airport with my friends in California, had to go "potty" really bad, and just pissed my pants in the middle of the terminal. (All the cool kids piss in their pants, right?)

barrows loot: lost count

daga king loot: lost count :p

each Hell hound you buy to go in the dungeon costs 5 MIL  EACH

thats just the hell hounds. want a steel dragon to guard your chest?

10 mil please

tele traps are 200k each and other monsters are slightly cheaper with the puny level 22 skeltons still being a jaw droping 50k a pop

1000*5000000= 5000000000 5 billion gold drained from the runescape ecnomy highest class just from the dungeons.

those are some flipping expensive dungeons. :?

It makes me wonder, what would the natural dungeons in Runescape have cost?

Just think of that massive agility/thieving dungeon beneath burthorpe! I can't eveen begin to imagine how far back that thing must have set the owner. :!:  :!: [smilies insufficient ] :x

If you dont take steps to ensure that you're protected, you void all right to complain when stuff goes wrong.

firstly, as said, the skill is a few days old, its gonna cost a bomb to get from 1 to 85+ in any skill in 4 days, try doing that in herblore ;)

="ronnyuk"]I don't think there is such a thing as inflation in Runescape

this is true, there is no inflation. rares go up as they get rarer (whoever thought of the name "rares" surely knew that he was talking about  ).

on the other hand, non rares go down, as they become even "non-rarer" (i think i just made that word up, oh well). overall, prices are kind of steady, on average :?

as with all things, wait a few more days - a month tops, and normal logs will be only a few gp again, oak will be a little more. nails will plummet horribly as peeps either dont need em or can make then theirselves.

i think this at the moment is an awsome thing for runescape to have done - the gap between phat billionaires and anyone else has considerably decreased, meaning if you are quick, you can get your hands on rares for a fracton of the price that they should be if there was no udate (the fraction being like 90%, but its still a fraction)

im cutting back on rs now due to rl issues (college), my sig stats havent been updated in a while...

exactley what jagex wanted, rares are dropping, money disapearing, no more overpriced rares!!!!!!!!!

Interesting, cause it seems the p hat market is the only one completely untouched by the money sink.

What's been hit hardest:

Barrows

Halloween Masks

Dragon armor

Whips

What has been relatively untouched:

Fletching materials like yew logs and bowstrings

Party Hats

Cursed you already has 95 construction, I want to see his demonic throne he'll have by tomorrow :o .

Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.

I agree, this skill is definatly a step in the right direction. Hopefully it will balence out the flow of cash caused by alcers

i still stick by the thought that if jagex realy wanted to lower the gp in the game they would take out low and high alch.

O.o when did this hostility towards high alchers come in? Personally, I like being able to get what an item is worth instead of a fraction of it by selling it too a store that buys for less and less as you try to sell the item. I don't have the patience to sit and sell at stores, and server hop when the price gets too low. I just wanna be able to spend a rune and get the cash. Not to mention there arn't even specialty shops for every type of craftable item. I agree that there is too much money in the game, but do you guys want almost no money in the game? Personally I'd like to be able to afford to buy new items every once in a while, which would never happen if they took high alch and low alch out because it'd take 5 times longer to earn the same amount of money and nobody would wanna drop their prices.

Normal logs are worth 75-100 gp each regardless of construction, for making arrow shafts.

its not just dongoens (spell?), planks are rather expensive to, even at the saw mill, 1.5k for maghogany, make a load of those and you spent 42k!

Tbfgraphx14

Happy to find I'm not the only one who eats glass.

i was pretty upset when i spent 500k to get to 49, but it seems i was luckier then everyone else?

My account spent most of the last 10 months "locked"

Haha, that, or just a cool, customizable place that alchers can alch and chat with their friends ^_^
