June 8, 200620 yr I didnt see another thread on this so i might as well make one. How much have u spent so far on construction? i would say i have spent at leat 400k on getting it from 1-43. June 8, 200620 yr I'm pretty sure this was actually done before, just bumped off the page. Or it was on the RS forums. But I've spent maybe up to 2 mil TOPS, I really don't know, but I bought 2k oak logs for 280 each (when they were big...) and made them planks, and got rooms and everything. I'm spending another 5M to get to 70 though. So it'll be 7 mil sooner or later. :?
June 8, 200620 yr 3k gee pee i didnt find any satisfaction in making a house. i bought my initial house - 1000gp my parlar ------------------ 1000gp another garder ------------ 1000gp some guy gave me about 300 flatpacked items (mostly chairs and tables) so i just filled in what was left in my house. i now have 3 chairs, 2 book cases, and a portal. thats it. i dont feel that i need anything else. i really dont want to spend all that time in something i dont want. =\

June 8, 200620 yr I'm pretty sure I've coughed up about 1.5-2m so far in getting 55, including buying tons of rooms, fixing my portals etc. My goal is 70 Construction, after that I may banish the skill from my everlasting To-Do-List.

June 8, 200620 yr about 500k, not counting the tele runes and duelling rings I've used, or the other stuff I already had (glass, seaweed, etc.). Level 46. I'd probably be higher level if I had gone for efficiency instead of trying to build a cool house with the best stuff I could put in it. Definitely the coolest skill to come out in awhile, imho. June 8, 200620 yr The game definitly needed a money sink, so spending cash on the house doesn't worry me too much. On the other hand, I am not aiming for the top, just for functionality with the handy teleports (especially canifis), cheaper barrows repair, another place for prayer recharge, a place to meet friends without too many strangers turning up begging for free stuff and such. So far I spent roughly 1 million, and am level 53. About 200 k of that was a COMPLETE waste, as I started to move rooms around without thinking, then moving them again. Noones fault but my own, I read a topic about house layout, and started to play with my actual house instead of playing with pen-and-paper/graphics program/handy tools that are around. The rest I mainly spent on converting logs to planks and of course on getting the rooms I am keeping. I didnt buy anything from other players. To level I used mainly oak, but a few mahagony as I had it stocked in bank from earlier. Costs for teleports are not included, but I used a LOT of that. I have not yet decided where I want the house so it's still in Rimmington, so the cost for moving it will be added, and whatever I decide to do to beautify the place with once I get the functionality I am happy with. Please think before you ask a question. If you ask the right question, its much more likely you get the answer you are looking for :)
