Guest GhostRanger
A little off topic but I've read every single Animorphs and Everworld book except the Ellimist (I can't find it). Animorphs ftw! I lovvve Animorphs! :P
pianofrieak2
Hmm...I have quite a few too. I really enjoyed "Safely Home" by Randy Alcorn. It's about a man and his family in communist China. He was captured for being a Christian and eventually becomes a martyr. The picture of heaven as well as the actions on Earth on behalf of his family and his friend who tries to get him released is really inspiring and eye-opening. I also enjoyed Heaven's Wager by Ted Dekker. *Go Astra!!* Anyway, the book is probably Dekker's best (in my opinion) and is very well-written. I definately recommend it, for Ted Dekker has so many twists and insights into the power of prayer and intercession. 1984 too? I like politics and seeing how things are turning out just like in Revelation. I'm pretty civil libertarian after reading those types of books. I'm currently transitioning from a Wizard to a Mage and a Priest to an Archpriest. Lol both are nonexistant in the top 25. Hopefully I can change that. :D

Ragen
trilogy ok? the bartimaeus series shawoot =D> Definately the best trilogy that I've read. The first one and last one are my two favourites. The best book I've ever read is Catch 22. It was a pretty strange book, incredibally funny and deeply moving. It is the only book so far to change my views on life and war. If you are a good reader, I highly recommend it. Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!

logic-is-overrated
I read One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. That led me to read the biography (or autobiography-I don't know the difference) of the author Ken Kesey, which was The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test by Tom Wolfe. The Acid Test is by far my favorite book of all time and was actually the book that led me down the road of philosophy and things like that. This is the way the world ends. Look at this [bleep]ing shit we're in man. Not with a bang, but with a whimper. And with a whimper, I'm splitting, Jack.

Astralinre
I also enjoyed Heaven's Wager by Ted Dekker. *Go Astra!!* Anyway, the book is probably Dekker's best (in my opinion) and is very well-written. I definately recommend it, for Ted Dekker has so many twists and insights into the power of prayer and intercession. Incredible book, but I think I might choose When Heaven Weeps over it. :P The Circle Trilogy is also awesome, what with the tons of symbolism and all. I love Ballad of the White Horse by G.K. Chesterton and Divine Comedy by Dante. There's also several Star Wars novels that I love. I don't know that I really have one favorite book - there's so many that I could read over and over. "In so far as I am Man I am the chief of creatures. In so far as I am a man I am the chief of sinners." - G.K. Chesterton

hopelesslyinsane
I have to read Sophie's World for school, they gave it to us at orientation...then they made me take a math test :x I read "One flew over the cuckoo's nest" for my English 11 class a few years ago, it was a really good book. I love the chief ^_^ One my favorite books is "The life and times of the Wicked Witch of the West" by Gregory Maguire. Awesome book. I read it after I saw the musical "Wicked" on broadway. I've seen a few more shows since then but none of them have affected me the way that Wicked did. ...Wow my mind wanders pretty quickly from book to book :D

mad4u689
Steppenwolf, by Hermann Hesse. It changed the way I thought about myself, the world, philosophy, and even literature. There's so much IN it and I found it fascinating. Also, I have to say: hopelesslyinsane, I didn't read "Wicked" for the longest time because I assumed it would be a poorly written book, badly approximating literature. But though I found it an enjoyable read, it was actually VERY well done - well organized and thought out, and interesting psychologically (both on the level of the characters and your own perceptions). I recommend it for anyone who wants either an adventure, or fairly decent literature :D Also, as far Orson Scott Card books go, I really enjoyed Songmaster intensely. Everybody hug and spread the love :D

(not the American version, the British one, with the final chapter) an amazing book (although unsuitable for.. well most poeple) Back by popular demand! And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all.
