I'm a sophmore, and in my freshmen year i found out the most random people played rs even a few people that were on some school sports teams :3>

 

 

 

Same here. I'm now a Sophmore and the most random people who were in my Freshman class played. Like the highest jock at our school and he actually got me talking to other kid's, since I was the like the only one from my Middle School to go there, and it helped me get through the years and the years to follow. I also knew 2 more football players who play. They didn't want to talk about RuneScape because they thought it was wierd, but once we started talking, we couldn't stop. We also got some more of the popular kids to play, like those cheerleading girls. It's awesome! It's also cool to have something to talk about with them :oops: since I never do and I'm too shy.

Well, I havn't even been playing RS for a year, and it's been great, just I'm going to 8th grade and don't want to be called geek.

u should quit for two reasons

 

 

 

You'll be called a geek and since u dont have any self confidence (for u only)

 

and Your addicted which is bad for everyone (everybody)

good reasons to quit runescape :? :

 

you think it may be affecting your health (addiction)

 

you're bored

 

you found a better game (like W.O.W.?)

 

you get banned for scamming (we dont want you here anyway :twisted: )

 

you finally realized that this isn't a great game

people make fun of you (shame on you for giving in to peer pressure!)

 

your parents won't let you (there's ways around this and you can just take a hiatus)

 

you can't afford members

 

you get hacked/ lose your money/ lose a phat (you can get money back if you try)

Lets not forget that it is his decision on what he wants to do with his life. Lets not force him on what to do.

 

 

 

However you should not be ashamed that you play RS just because people call you a geek. Wait a few years and they would have learnt more of the game and would like it more. They only call you a geek because they do not understand the game at all. When I joined RS 2 years ago everything was fine, then last year people called me geek for playing it but I didnt care. But this year loads of people like the game and so no longer call me a geek. Infact my friends want me to join W.O.W but the money is too much and RS is a ton of fun.

 

 

 

And yes, we all agree that if you do quit then you will be back.

I'm going into College this fall and that isn't going to stop me from playing, and going into 8th grade shouldn't stop you from playing either, but the choice is yours.

Get a spine. I mean come on ur quitting for fear of being called a geek? If theyre really your freinds they won't care and if they aren't then they're gonna call u that or something similar even if you don't play

Even if u play RS just dont talk about it when ur around ur friends that dont its a good way to fill in moments when you've got notinhg to do, unless ur obsesed with it and its the only thing you talk about then you shoudld take a bbreak

Hehe not much people that go to my school play runescape, just me and 2 other friends, rest of 'em think runescape is ga.. erm... not cool, ive never been called a geek through the entire year of grade 8. But, its your choice if you wanna play or not.

I'm 18 and I'm just getting back into runescape after a 6-12 month break. My newest character is gamer.g33k 8-)

I'm a freshemn, if your afraid of being called a geek just don't tell anyone, that's what I do. While it isn't easy breaking free of what you "want" to do and what's the "cool" thing to do it doesn't really matter. As long as you dont get addicted and still do other things in life (sport teams, concerts, dating) you'll be fine.

does it make any sense how if you play halo 2 you suddenly "cool" and when you play runescape your suddenly a "geek"? (at least thats the way it is at my school)

im probably one of the more popular kids in my school, 1 of 2 kids in my school in my grade who play on the best baseball team in the area, and doesnt have a bad rep with anyone mostly

 

 

 

my one friend got me into this game ( i thought it was stupid because i was just on tutorial island lol ) and then he quit about a year and a half ago, then another 2 kids who play probably forgot i play lol

 

 

 

if i told them that i play runescape, about 10 kids would know what it is

 

 

 

if people would talk about runescape, i would hestiate to jon in on the conversation even it's in front of my best friends.
