How far do YOU read?

In a thread, how far do you read on average?

Personally i only read threads that have interesting titles and will then read the whole thread, (unless it has 10+ pages) in which case i'll read the first post.

This brings me onto another topic, if noone reads all the posts in a thread, what's the point in posting after a certain page?

I usually read everything very very fast̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâô, but if there are over 3 pages, I hardly read them all.

The point with posting is that the persons that are going to post after you will surely see what you've written, since people usually read the last page as well. But after the page with your post isn't the last, then you've written all your 30 lines in vain.

I read it all. I see no point is being so lazy that I don't even spend an extra minute or two to read over all the replies.

I usually read the whole thing but occasionally (As with Leesters 33+ page house party thread) I read the original post and the last ten pages to get a grasp of what the thread is about.

If a thread is like 5 pages long, I read the the first page and then the last 2 pages or so. Unless if its intresting, then I read the whole thing. :anxious:

Depends on the quality of post although normally I read the whole thing. If its a really long thread I'll read the first page and then the last couple to see whats being discussed.

I read the original post, the first and the last page. Then i post my input.

And you thought YOUR neighbors were weird!

I'm really surprised by how many people will even bother posting if they haven't at least read the vast majority of a topic, barring those that go upwards of 30 pages where the first few and the last few or so should suffice. Without reading through you're more likely to post something that's been said 6 times prior. How is that contributing something meaningful to the topic? Moreover I've seen more than one thread go down in flames because someone replied to the title without actually reading the topic and got mad that they looked foolish.

I read all of it, so I can make a contribution to the topic in a certain way, which other people haven't. And if I can't, I don't post.

I find it hard to believe people just post their thoughts without looking at other peoples comments. No wonder Mods have to spend so much time cleaning threads.
