July 14, 200619 yr I recently purchased a dragon skirt. I am wondering if people will think I'm a crossdresser or something... I'm not the kin od person who really cares what other people think of me usually, but this is getting ridiculous. My friends are laughing at me when I tell them that it's a Dragon Kilt. What should I do? I only have enough cash for the skrit, not the legs, and because they have the same def bonuses, I figured the skirt would make the most sense. Any ideas on what I should tell people? You act like the game community is like the stinking bowels of hell.... In all reality.. its much.. much... worse.
July 14, 200619 yr nothing wrong with wearing a dragon skirt, its cheap effective defence so just tell your friends its all you could afford right now.
July 14, 200619 yr Ignore them. Skirts are actully lighter than legs, thus running longer. "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."
July 14, 200619 yr Save up for D legs? :P Nah it doesnt matter what others think its cheaper, and same stats... besides back in the day Roman troops didnt wear plate legs. Also look at the barrow brothers, some of them wear skirts 70+ all skills. 17/24 skills 75+
July 14, 200619 yr Hmm, odd, when I wore my dragon skirt no body said anything at all, untill I asked them to be my girlfriend, that is. I suggest you just ignore them, it's really quite stupid to waste money on the legs, skirt has same stats and weighs less. If anyone else says anything just mention that mystic, ahrims, guthan and verac (all very good armour sets) also use skirts. runescape name is also finny50. Quit runescape.
July 14, 200619 yr dude just make it a joke and don't let it bother u while u get up enough money to sell it and buy legs, I mean your friends should just be pickin on u DRAGON KILT FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!! finally back in the game! send me a message, all my old friends quit I laughed so hard I pooped my thong.
July 14, 200619 yr Yes people will definitely laugh, but it all basically depends on your ability to make a joke of it. Saying something like "I'm Scottish, don't insult my heritage!" or some funny tid bit along those lines can help break any tension between you and the person insulting you. If you can't take a joke in a skirt, then you really shouldn't be wearing it. [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.
July 14, 200619 yr Just chill out about it, most of the people youll see wont care anyway. Its not like your wearing a pink frilly skirt or anything. Retired from runescape(Banned for bug abusing)
July 14, 200619 yr Hell, I had a dragon skirt for a while. It doesnt look bad on a guy really. I don't mind it, and pretty much everyone I talked to really didn't care as well. And above all, it's a game. if you cant afford something witht he ammount of $, but a cheap version of it. It's not like someone is going to tell your whole school you are a crossdresser on a videogame.
July 14, 200619 yr Author Thanks for the support, guys. This is why I like TIF so much. Thanks, I'll try to bear all these ideas in mind. You act like the game community is like the stinking bowels of hell.... In all reality.. its much.. much... worse.
July 14, 200619 yr Change your character to a girl. Skirts are, you know, supposed to be worn by girls. Then get spammed by lots of level 60's asking you to be their online girlfriend.
July 14, 200619 yr Change your character to a girl. Skirts are, you know, supposed to be worn by girls. Then get spammed by lots of level 60's asking you to be their online girlfriend. Thats just wrong........ Wondering what to do with life .....
July 14, 200619 yr Author Let me clarify: While technically I have enough cash to get the legs, I just can't find a way to justify spending 1.5 mil more for something that is basically the same. I definately do *not* support changing into a girl, as theat is just plain wrong and is a primary reason of why there are so many pedophiles on the internet. I for one am all for internet anonymity and all, but being represented by a girl character when you are a guy (and vice versa) is a little odd, to say the least. I am not really *bothered* by people laughing at me per se, I just wish they would change their attitudes. This could be relfected by pricing the skirt up or the legs down... While I know there are more males than females who play this game, should the economy actaully reflect that? Just my two cents, Whitemage750 EDIT: Just realized that the most masculine character on the Simpsons wears a kilt. Therefore, I could be scottish like Willy! Woot! (Actually, my great grandparents are belgian.) You act like the game community is like the stinking bowels of hell.... In all reality.. its much.. much... worse.
July 14, 200619 yr When barrows first came out I bought full verac because I liked the look of it, I wore it into CW and a group of lvl 70s called me a crossdresser because of the skirt. When the verac special effect was known I later pmed them and laughed. Personally id like to be a crossdresser with a special effect of hitting through prayer   If you have any questions about World of Warcraft or you need an explanation about something, please feel free to pm me.
July 14, 200619 yr Some of the barrows armors have skirts, and I don't see any male characters shying away from them. And I'll guarantee you, that they are the same ones that will buy a barrows set in a heartbeat, skirt or no skirt. For the record, I wore a d skirt also for the longest time because it made more sense to spend half the money for the same bonus. And I got the same reactions you got. But that's the problem with playing with some people. Unfortunately, maturity isn't a requirement for playing on the computer. If Jagex ever made a perfect update, there would be players complaining about nothing to complain about.[hide=My Stats][/hide]
July 14, 200619 yr My friends are laughing at me when I tell them that it's a Dragon Kilt. FINALLY ANOTHER BROTHER OF THE KILT!! I love my d skir..eh...kilt dont worry bout what ppl think lol just look at my avatar. D KILT FTW!!!

July 14, 200619 yr all that matters is on guys its not a skirt. its a kilt .... badd joke again
July 14, 200619 yr I'm gunna go buy one, I didn't know skirts had same defence as legs. #-o Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-I took the one less traveled by,And that has made all the difference.
July 14, 200619 yr I can clearly tell you're a function over form type of guy. You've seen the clear advantages of the skirt, and wisely decided that they are, in fact, a better "bang for your buck" than Dragon Legs. But, overall, Dragon Armour is the D Legs (in your situation) of armour. What I'm trying to say is, if you're more concerned about defence than form (which you clearly are), then spend the money on Torag's legs- the best in the game. So if it's the best defence you seek, it's T Legs for you (and this way, you don't have to endure the relentless calls of "crossdresser!").
