indy500fan
well, i know you said best film, but id like to have it clarified. best film as in artistically you could say this movie is the best? or do you mean favourite film? i could list what my favourite films are, but "best" film could be a little tougher, almost impossible. Probably 'best' in the meaning of: movie you enjoyed most. And enjoyed in a meaning that you have to interpret yourself ;) My list would be: - the Lotr trilogy - the Matrix - the Monty Pythons - the Usual Suspects - Pulp Fiction - Braveheart There's some of my favourite movies I'm forgetting, I'm sure of that, but I can't recall em atm. indy500fan
Probably 'best' in the meaning of: movie you enjoyed most. And enjoyed in a meaning that you have to interpret yourself ;) thats what im guessing too, most of the times thats what these turn into. so i might as well go for it :D . i really can only name my top 3 in order, there are so many movies that i really, really, really like pretty much just as much as these. 1. Donnie Darko 2. Leon: The Professional 3. Oldboy now rounding out the top ten would have to be movies in all the different genres, dont know why it just feels right that way. romance: Casablanca or True Romance. probably casablanca comic book movie: Sin City comedy: Dr. Strangelove or I Heart Huckabees or Clerks sci fi: 2001: A Space Odyssey war: Full Metal Jacket crime/gangster: Once Upon a Time in America hitchcock: The Lady Vanishes how i feel about a movie changes constantly, so i just kind of threw together the top 3 one time and stuck with it. i really dont know if they are my top three or not. the rest of the top ten i just thought of right now, so they could easily be replaced. there are so many great movies that belong there. once again id like to state these are my favourites, not what i feel is the "best". i dont think i could do "best" movie even if i broke it down into genres like i did. maybe if i broke it into genres, and decades. then again probably not. How2PK
The FOK! forum top 100 has started today again, this week I'm receiving a couple of movies which have a chance of getting in there, and I still have a few movies I still need to see. I expect my new top 100 to be ready somewhere around next week, naturally I'll post it here. :) Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore! BenBru
Crash is probably my favorite movie. It has so much thought put into it, the storyline and just the whole feel of the movie really makes you want to watch it, and understand how each characters personality works. My number two would probably have to be The Cable Guy. That movie is just hilarious. Jim Carrys best behind the Ace Ventura movies. I heard the critics hated it, but everyone I've spoken to says it's one of their favorite movies. If you havn't seen Crash yet, I definatly would encourage you to watch it. I am an Atheist, and I take pride in it.
How2PK
Alright, I got home a little bit earlier than expected, and decided to take a good sit to make my list. This is the list without the movies I still need to see and that still need to come in, so a few things may chance. I tried to find a healthy combination of classics, more modern art-house worrk, older art-house work and the newer 'mainstream' movies. I tried my best in order to give a good display of the history of cinema, of course this is impossible for me as I still have to see loads of things. But from what I have seen, this seemed best. Allthough my list of last year stood as a base for this one, a lot of things changed. This is of course because I'm a whole year older and of course a year wiser, movie wise. 1. Faux
Maybe a bit offtopic, but I don't want to make a thread for it. I just want to know what's the best horror film that looks decent and is a good movie overall (plot, acting, etc.) and is actually scary. I stayed away from 'scary' movies a long time ago because I just kept on getting disappointed. It's a gift to someone so I just want some suggestions. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
