I average a rare from barrows every 100 trips, usualy crap one too. I average a chain every 300 KQ or so. I was on a 400+ rex dry streak before I finally got a drop off him. Then my money loser is pking, I'm addicted to it. I keep trying to give it up, but I still end up losing things (Like a torag set the other week when I got distracted while doing a clue...) I just don't give up, I train slayer for a bit, maybe make a few pies and kill abyssals. Just don't give up and you'll be fine, next thing you'll know is getting 4 guthans spears in a row for barrows and accedently attacking something and it dropping a clue which gives you a robin hood or something =P Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I went from a 40M+ bank to a 5M bank in 2 weeks. Lost about 3 dharok sets, 1 verac set, like 20 rune sets, 10 obsidian sets and all the supplies I used. (I lost 12M in 10 minutes when I died with dharoks than verac) I was left with nothing but a whip. I improvised, borrowed a rune set off my friend, and went to DKs with him. We made 4.5M each in about an hour. Then went pking and lost my torags set, was left with just whip. Went to abysssals and got 2 whip drops and now I full full Dharoks + whip, and don't plan on pking any time soon (I hope) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

supuh Posted August 7, 2006 Share Posted August 7, 2006 Trojann, dont leave! ive never gotten a single dragon drop in my life (best ever was a half key), and im poor as dirt (and always have been, the most ive ever had was a set of veracs), but ive made due with what i have. hell, i have 72 construction, a fully complete dungeon, with 130k to my name is rs right now. trojann, all you need to do is find a way to get back on your feet. hang in there. its sad to see you go, im going to miss going on sodb events with you 72 construction. I'm not going to tell you how to play, Spud's not going to tell you how to play, no one is going to tell you how to play Jordan. But I'll tell you how I feel. RS is so much more than money. RS is different for every person, and maybe here and there, a guy gets cleaned and quits. But those guys are money hungry and dishonest. They're shallow. And I know for a fact that you aren't like that Jordan. You're not the smartest ( :P ), the most rule-abiding, or the most patient scaper, but you're a great person. This game, to me, is about community. It's about having a good time with friends, and accomplishments. And Jordan, you've had too many accomplishments, and have made too many friends to let them all go. Come back for the skills, come back for the friends, or come back for the fun. There have been so many times when I felt that RS just wasnt working out and I got fed up with it. I go on outside to clear my mind and before I know it im back on playing and glad I did so. No, you've probably never heard of me...or saw anything I wrote for that matter. Fine. But please listen to this, at least this one time. You'll hit high points in Runescape, and you'll hit low points, just like in real life. When you'll get them is not known, and to be honest, it doesn't matter all that much. When you're knocked down, just get back up. Simple as that. Frustration? To hell with it! You're better than that; at least I hope so. You still have more in your bank than I do, and I'm still able to have a great time on the game. I've lost the vast majority of my net worth before, in one fell swoop, enough to make it so that my hands were shaking from the shock of being able to lose things that quickly. The best thing to do is to make it back, one step at a time. If you wait too long, it'll haunt you...the feeling will compound upon itself, consume you, scare you away. But if you get back and make even just a small portion of that back, it's a whole new deal. You realize that you CAN do it, and that it CAN be done, and that nobody and nothing will keep you from succeeding. Sure, they can throw a few blows at you, and sure, you can keep on lifting yourself out of the gutter and walk towards your goal. There's one thing I've always been taught, and the one thing I'll hopefully never forget. People can take your possesions, your fame, your identity, your family, your opinions, your thoughts, your hopes, and your dreams. But they cannot take your pride...they cannot take your memories, your being. What you do with that is up to you, not to me or any of your friends here. I'm not going to feel sorry for you, so don't expect me to say "Poor you", because I'd rather beat myself in the head with a hammer. I can, however, respect you for realizing that this shouldn't make you quit. You might think I'm too obsessed with the game. No, I'm not. But what you do in Runescape is oftentimes what you'll do in real life, because behind every character is a human being. Runescape is only a computer game, but it's inhabitants show the essence of human nature and what it will do when the laws of nature change. That's why people will notice that many MMORPGs have the same feeling, even though they may have many different concepts. Think about it. EDIT: I hope you know what I mean. If it was I seriously would've quit forever ago. One of my fav ways to make money is killing green dragons. Costs nothing literally. 400k+ an hour with no real supplies needed so its mostly all profit. You can never have bad luck because bones\hides are 100% drop. You have awesome stats, and a bank that many players (including myself) would kill for. It might appear that you've hit rock bottom, but you can still do so much.
