Good luck. You really don't need to change your inventory. If jad has been owning you and not anything else, than you just need to refine your jad-owning skills, not setup.

Third attempt, and I almost had him. The healers were all on me, and he was close to redbarred.

 

 

 

I was able to concentrate on more than just his legs, and was able to multi-task, eating, switching, drinking pray pot, I'm getting so I can do this now. And this was after a bad start to Jad spawn. I hate it when you can't see him, and he's attacking. Hard to watch his legs when you can't see the dude.

 

 

 

But, the healers actually melee'd me to death. lol. They smacked me for a bunch of 9's and I was out of food, because I wasted my food on the final round of 360's, as I forgot to turn magic prayer back on after healing up on the 360-180-180 round. I was lucky to be alive as both 360's smacked me with melee prayer on, and before I could "Eek-click", I was down to 12 hitpoints. lol. Buh bye food!

 

 

 

Oh well, just when I'm ready to beat him.... they nerf the prayer drain all up. It drains so fast now, that caves are impossible.

 

 

 

If they fix the bug, I'll try again. If they dont, I'll enjoy my obby cape knowing that I got good enough to beat him.

Agreed. The inventory is just important to "get" to Jad. Once you're there, its all about the skills.

We have people at Level 60 doing this, and you with maxed out combat stats can't do it. Is it safe to say that you officially suck at runescape ;)..jk bud..gl!!

my prayer seems to drain at the same rate it always did :\ i think it mightve been fixed, i noticed on rs's forums though theres 2 hour old posts about it.

Trojan, he probably strafed till the corner of italy. In all my attempts ive done the other boot lol, i dunno what it is about it but it works. And leesters i dunno what you were thinking with the healers.. you cant leave them to attack you. Jagex updated it when they found out people could kill jad with them on you. They hit thru guthans+99 def+steel skin now. Thats why i suggest you get behind a boot, then run around and kill healers while jad is stuck. You should do it if you take my advice.

LOL come on leesters obby cape isn't good enough :twisted: you MUST GET the firecape and i think you should use muggis guide without guthans because you say it drains prayer faster now, well with veracs n fury your prayer bonus is quite good so your prayer wont drain as fast and IMO its easier without. Anyways gl and hope you get it.

good luck on the cape. I've tried for it twice. I got up to wave 59 first time, but then got a system update. Not realising you could save your progress by logging out inbetween waves, I simply stay logged in until it updates, and then find myself out side the caves -.-. Second trip I got all the way to the Jad. The waves are really easy, a complete waste of time and racks. I whish I could just pay the racks and pots I would use to get to the jad before hand, and get straight to grips with him. Now I knew the "you can log out between waves", I logged out between waves 54-55.. When I logged back in the darn 360 spawned right ontop of me. I hit mage pray and ran away, luckily he chose to use mage attack, and I escaped. That's ok when it comes to a 360, they can probably max around 45, you arent going to get one hit. Not ok when the jad spawns ontop of the spot where the last 360 died, meaning you are in melee reach -.-. But I luckily managed to not only escape from under him, I got the right prayer in, and took no damage. Prayer switching is easy, once you get into the swing of it, just listening to the noise it makes. I didn't even try to watch the legs. But then the healers come, and like you, all my plans got really scrwed up. SHoot healer, switch, shoot healer, switch, shoot, miss a switch, 38 damage, shoot miss another switch due to mounting nerves, 58. Finaly attack the last healer, get a correct pray switch and try line them up whilst desperately sara brewing up...28. KO.

 

 

 

Actualy getting to the jad gave me a warm sense of achievment. This time I wasn't screwed out of it by jagex. I failed on mt own merits, and, mor importantly, I learnt something.

 

 

 

(I use ranged only, no guthans for me.)

lee i just got cape with 56 prayer and 74 range 94 cmb with 4 super restores left to spare so i think u could easily do it even if prayer rates have gone up gl tho :D

I'm gonna go again soon just to prove the prayer drain rate. Personally, I believe the "rumor" was started because, in fact, there WAS a prayer drain change. I see a difference just standing in a bank.

Maybe something usefull.

 

I always play runescape with sounds, it becomes really usefull. Read the comment about someone not even watching Jad but just listening to the sound he makes to switch prayer. So now about the lagg, is it time lagg because of bad connection, or is it lagg because your computer tries to do other things in the background?

 

In case of the first try other worlds.

 

In case of the second (or always when you play), use the downloads from jagex, it uses lesss memory and is more stable, also go to your task manager after you started the runescape client and set priority to high.

 

Since I do this I can play runescape quite good in quite bad conditions.

 

I work (and play) in China and I can assure the internet connection is sloooooooooooow and the ping is often around 1.4 secs, trying battle with the big delay = death against all high level monsters.

 

With the things I mentioned I can play soso, for you it should be perfect.

 

 

 

With melee being so dangerous I got to 98 range and 95 mage at combat 96 :-w .

 

So good luck for cape (get 2 in a row so your bank is easier to manage :mrgreen: ) and give me some feedback on the results.

 

PS: When I kill elves for slayer with prayer, I get the feelng that the drain rate is the same as before.

 

I had the feeling that just after the update (they did like 3 reupdates) the drain rate was higher.

I finally got mine today with 70 Prayer and 89 Range, had 6/5 Super Restores left, and lords know I'm no fight caves expert, but trust me, you'll be fine.

Don't want to make you feel bad, but I got cape on the first try at 105. -.-

 

 

 

Keep doing the luring of jad, it really helped me. I used 4 doses of sara brew for the healers alone, if you have down the prayer switching you just need to brew at half health. Switch to a new bow on the last 360 and have sound on.

 

 

 

BREATHE, don't panic, and you'll be outside before you know it...with the cape, hopefully :D
