August 29, 200619 yr i go to school, and i see ALOT of Ipods and MP3. CD players r less seen now... and i was just wondering... how many of u actually own a music player? i own a CD player and a MP3, but i don't have an Ipod... but do we really need all this stuff? do we buy them just so that we look "cool" at school, or do we actually use them other than for school? your opinions plz... :-s
August 29, 200619 yr At the moment I don't own a music player after my previous one broke (it was only ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã15). For my birthday, I plan to get a really cheap Ipod (̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã30 budget). I don't really need high storage space as my entire libary is less than 1 gig. I don't want this for a fashion statement, just as something that lets me listen to my music on journeys. Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!
August 29, 200619 yr An MP3 player isn't automatically an iPod - some people just say 'iPod' when they mean MP3 player and that is wrong. I have a 3rd generation iPod 20GB which I've had since 2003. My PocketPC also plays MP3s and I've got a 2GB SD card in it. I only really listen to the iPod whilst driving now, but I've got some Shure E2c earphones. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.
August 29, 200619 yr I have a 4gb mini, which I've had since about a month before the nano was released. (Damn you apple.) I still have about 2 years left on the replacement plan, so I keep hoping the bugger breaks so they'll replace it with a nano. I love it though, I listen to some obscure music, and none of the radio stations around play anything even remotely similar.
August 29, 200619 yr Got an Creative Zen Micro, 5gb. Great Mp3-player. But it's way too small for me now (storage space-wise). Looking into getting an 20gb at least, but the Creative ones with that storage space look absolutely atrocious. I can't find the Zen-20gb one anywhere. And I don't want an iPod, but they're about the only ones you see in the stores... :?

Like Hoover for vacuum cleaner! :D I have an MP3 player, and the reason I have one is, shock horror, I enjoy listening to music. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.

I'm very into modern music and I never take it into school. I wanted it because I love music but I just borrow my brother's CDs...
August 29, 200619 yr oh... my has 512 MB... how much is that in GB? :-s 1 GB = 1000 MB. 512 MB = 0.512 GB
August 29, 200619 yr I have an mp3 player to make the journey to college and nursery less boring, thats pretty much it.
August 29, 200619 yr 5 gig Creative Zen Micro. It will destroy all iPod wannabe hipsters with a fiery blast. I really wouldn't call it an era. It was more of a definitive time period during which dinstinctive characteristics were expressed in similar ways.

Like Hoover for vacuum cleaner! :D I have an MP3 player, and the reason I have one is, shock horror, I enjoy listening to music. Today I found out "putt-putt" is trademarked and you have to say "miniature golf" if you're not specifically talking about the Putt-putt company. I was pretty disheartened when I found this out... (Apparently band-aid is trademarked too...also, these might be American-only things so ignore my if they are Bubs... :P)
August 29, 200619 yr oh... my has 512 MB... how much is that in GB? :-s 1 GB = 1000 MB. 512 MB = 0.512 GB Accccctually, 1 GB = 1024 MB 512 MB = 0.5 GB I just posted something! ^_^ to the terrorist...er... kirbybeam.
August 29, 200619 yr I have a 6GB ipod mini that I got for my bday last year, before that I used a cd player which was a pain because I like to listen to music while I work outside :P
August 29, 200619 yr I dont listen to music. Cry in shock now. "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."

August 29, 200619 yr Accccctually, 1 GB = 1024 MB 512 MB = 0.5 GB All the hard disk based MP3 players I've ever come across (including iPods) are measured in decimal gigabytes; not binary. That's why a brand new 20GB iPod will show up at 18.5GB in the about section - because it is 20 decimal GB (10^9 bytes) but the firmware displays it in binary GB (2^30 bytes). The same goes for normal hard disks too. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.
August 30, 200619 yr I have and Ipod nano 2gb. I didn't buy so it would make me look cool I bought cus it's fun to have a round and sometimes i realy need to hear song when i'm on the way i could have bought an mp3 but i prefer ipods.
August 30, 200619 yr I have a 512mb Ipod shuffle.. It was a good investment for the few months I've had it but my music collection has expanded and I can't take all my music with me anymore :( Although my birthday is just a few weeks away.. So maybe I'll ask for another Ipod with more memory (I love my Ipod and I don't care if you think it's a piece of sh*t). Internet Marketing For Newbies
