how many of u have MP3/ Ipod/ CD player??

Featured Replies

One of my friends, a while ago, had a 64MB MP3 player. He wanted to fit more music on it so he encoded every song to 5kpbs - the sound quality was surprisingly good considering the bitrate, it sounded like a cheap radio.

The majority of my songs are atleast 100kpbs. :uhh:

I hope you don't mean you need a mac. I have an iPod and I use a pc. No special computer needed. All you need to do is install iTunes (which comes on a cd with iPods).

I think he might've meant you have to use the same computer each time.

Slightly off-topic; Does anyone know a program I can use to lower the kbps of my tracks?

I'd be surprised if they weren't. It is rare to see them below 128. Most of mine are 240 or above I think.

Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.

crud!!! my sister just broke the head phones!!! not even a week! she broke it in less than a week!!! rargh!!!

I have an Ipod Video 30GB, a really old CD player (unused), an ancient mp3 player which is about he size of a third of a brick... (unused), a boom box (really loud, great for rock music) and a brand new radio thing which finds the stations without tuning. That's me on the music front.

CD player from sony...

no Mp3 player

i prefer CD player.

do u guys think that Ipods r better or MP3s? :-s

Umm.. Ipods are MP3 players..

I'm a bigger fan of Ipods because I've always liked how they looked compared to others..

Man it really gets my goat when people think there different. For 20+ GB players I would probaby get an Ipod. The nanos however are not a very good buy a 4 GB is $200 I think? For the same price you can get twice the storage, a voice recorder, FM radio, and an FM radio recorder when you buy a Zen Micro. I may be a little fanoyish but I really do think there better mp3 players.

If you read the post, deloria never claimed to have been a fan because it makes him/her different... just because they like the looks....

I qouted her post "Umm.. Ipods are MP3 players.. " and I just had to throw in a little blurb about Zen's. Sorry for the confusion. :)

I now have an iPod nano.

Before that I had 3 simple mp3players from around 20-30 euro's. But that was crap. They all broke in 3 months. Quite a lot of people have them, and heard much more about that they broke so fast.

So now an iPod, hopefully it lasts longer. It does already, but hoping to have him for quite some more time.

Retired.

I have a thirty gig ipod, and a three year old cd player. I still listen to my cd player because most of my CD's are proctected. I realy don't feel like paying for them again on ITunes.

I will shoot down any one with my bitting wit, and sarcasm!

What POSSIBLE reason would someone have to make a fake like that?Does he profit from faking a picture like that? Does it help him at all?Jesus Christ, stop being so suspicious. This is Tip.it for God's sake, not RuneHQ. -_-

cdex rips anything (at least that i have come across). Protection or not. I've ripped many so-called protected CD's using it :P

I have a Zen Vision:M.

I would rant about how iDon't actually hate iPods but iHate the fact that so many people like to use them as status symbols and justification for the illusion that they somehow make more money than me, nevermind the fact that their parents bought the damn thing for them, but then everyone would neglect to read the post and then flame me for hating the iPod.

iPods are, feature for feature, inferior to Creative players. Controls are down to preference, as is form factor and software. But feature-wise there is no comparison. Price-wise, Creative's players are infinitely better choices as well. If you really want to get something with brand identity that looks svelte and gets you +10 awesome points then get an iPod, I think no less of you. If you get one because you want to make fun of other people because "you have an MP3 and I have an iPod!!!1 [sic with regard to spelling and technical references]" then you're stupid.

Of course now that I posted this I should prepare for the inescapable barrage of groupies from everywhere, on all fronts.
