I used to have a link to my school's project to provide fresh water to a Kenyan Village, but the sig police changed the link to say something, which, if followed, leads to an "ahem" adult website. Let me ask you. Which do you think is worse?

I was lucky with my braces. My first pair was permanent, but consisted of a plastic plate against the roof of my mouth with two springs in it that were attached to the second-to-last molars in my upper jaw. I only had permanent visible braces for a year or so, and then I got a pair that I had to wear at night. Over all it wasn't too bad, but the pain during periods of transition is always terrible.

I was lucky I never got them :uhh:

They make you look ugly IMO. Feel bad for you :uhh:

I've never had them. God, I'll disown my unborn son if he ends up needing them.

A few good smacks to the face should straighten those teeth up in no time. But that might be a little hard with an unborn son...

I've never had to get them, my teeth were always perfectly straight and the dentist always complimented that...However I am rather cavity-prone...I never eat sugar, soda, candy, anything like that, yet I still get them for whatever reason. Lame. You should see how well I brush my teeth, too. It just isn't fair. :P I'm looking forward to that new gum that is coming out that has something in it that makes the bacteria in your mouth not be able to stick to your teeth...Yay! Anti-cavity gum!

Also, I fell on my face when I was younger and broke one of my front teeth in half...Got that fixed, can't even notice now, and the one next to it was knocked pretty loose but eventually stiffened back up and was good for like...9 years...But now I think it's starting to die...It's turning a slightly gray color, so yea. I'm going in on the 13th of September to have my teeth cleaned and have the tooth looked at...If they say I have to get it pulled, then they'll send me to a oral surgeon and they'll probably put a screw into my jaw with a new tooth on it...No big deal, it'll look the same, so that's fine.

But yea...Straight teeth!

thanks to mitsubishi64 who made this sig

I used to have braces in 2004 till halfway through 2005. Glad to have em off :D

I had braces for 3, almost 4 years. Not good. When they finally came off (just before junior year in high school), I had to smile and admire my pearly whites in every mirror I walked by. :D

They do make you a little uglier, but they aren't permanent and it's completely worth it in the long run.

Congrats on gettin them off.
