Username012
With the release of the new quest comes Lord Drakan's castle... this raises a few questions. - What do you think will be inside? - Will this be another Prifddinas, not opening for 2 years? - Will part 4 see the defeat of Drakan and the release of the blood altar... that closed off area seems like a good place for it (the one where you can examine the door) - What will Daeyalt be used for? - What is the barrows-like un-openable door in the lab basement? - Where is this massive underground refinery and what is its purpose? Discuss. I think Jagex won't make the 'Prifddinas mistake' here. I also think Prifddinas will be opened this year.

joecool280
What I know: Count draynor in the vampire slayer quest was Drakens brother and accoring to the warewolves, killing him made Draken angry and wanting revenge. Count drakens a mahjarrat? Not sure about this. Count draken rules Morytania and demands a blood tithe from everyone in Mortyania who can pay it. Necorvous turned the people of port phaysmetes into ghosts so they didnt have to pay the blood tithe. Charos, a powerfull diplomat was like second in power to Draken but betrayed him or something so Draken killed him but Charos hid his powers of persuasion in a ring before he died, the Ring of Charos. Draken is the lord of vampires and vampires drink blood. I think it is very likely the blood alter is nearby, perhaps in the singustri region or in castle draken (more likely) If you know there was a great powersource of incredile power you may or may not how to use would you: a. Leave it out in the swamp where any adventurer with the right "key" to "unlock" it could get that power then use it to overthrow you? b. Build your castle fortress around it where it can be protected, studied and guarded by legions of the undead?

Jake_Corsair
I'm thinking, since you find the lab (and hopes of finding a weakness against them), that the Daeyalt might have a part in that. Maybe it will be used to make weapons/armors that are more effective against them. If Jagex ever made a perfect update, there would be players complaining about nothing to complain about.[hide=My Stats][/hide]
bacab
I can't imagine Myreque Part Four and the release of the blood altar. Good lord, remember Mourning's End Part Two and what we havet to go through to get to the death altar? Certainly a higher altar will have a worse quest. Much much worse. I'm going to stock up on Advil. By the time it's released I should have enough. We don't rebel to sell it just suits us well, we're the bright young things. anarchyman
What are they called the dragonkin or something mybe there behind this! come to think of it, Draken's castle did resemble the dragonkin's castle that you got to see in a cut scene from a tail of two cats
Barihawk
Remember that Draken did not build his castle. He came from the depths and stole it from the Icyene Queen. The queen might be related to Dragonkin, but Draken most likely would not. This personally is my favorite story arc. WolfhunterXZ
Count Drakan is not that "Shadowy figure" who was talking with the Barrows brothers. It was that evil mage who cursed the ground they were buried in which is why they're ghosts. The castle will probably have the blood alter, or the blood alter will most likely be in the fourth part. Probably another hard quest like ME2. That castle was HUGE btw :P good quest also. Stupid confusing maze... Doubt the door in the basement will be a shortcut into the barrows. but maybe a hidden way into Drakan's castle? Daeyalt will probably be part of the way to defeat the vampyres! The refinery will be to help make the daeyalt able to be made into armor or the potion or whatever that will help defeat the vampyres. Wolfy is Officially Retired.I miss you all (Well, mostly my friends n stuff)If you want to talk to me, send me a message, I check the boards daily. :D
Artemis_42
All this talk about the daeyalt, and yet no one has yet mention haemalchemy. The book was found in the reasearch lab where that person was forced into working with the vyres. In the same letter hw also mentioned something about a way to stop them. My guess it will be some sort of combination of the daeyalt and haemalchemy, how i'm not sure, but that would seem to make sence. Barihawk
But why would they force humans to mine ores that could harm them? bacab
But why would they force humans to mine ores that could harm them? Me_Hate_Libs
Barihawk, I remember seeing the plaque to the queen in the bottom of the bar, but where did you find out Drakan took over her castle? I'm just curious. This website and its contents are copyright © 1999 - 2010 Jagex Ltd.
Artemis_42
It might not be the daeyalt itself that harms them, as i said it might be a combination of both haemalchemy and it. Perhaps the large refinary could be them trying to find out a way to protect themselfs from this. I'm not sure what the combination of the two could be. It could be that haemalchemy is what hurts them, and the daeyalt might protect them from it, or heamalchemyed daeyalt is what harms them. We'll just have to wait and see. Adam007
I haven't done the quest yet, but if that area is far away from a bank, that raises the chance of that castle or surrounding area being the blood altar.
whiteboy1102
IF he is indeed the dark figure that corrupts the brothers according to the crumbling tome. I suspect a quest like Mourning end Part II but instead the barrows brothers play a role in the quest in which you find a way to uncorrupt each brother and they fight alongside you to defeat lord draken. Totally sounds awsome but is never going to happen so.. I'll just keep dreaming. =P~ And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. If you're half insane. lol True, and also what better way to defend yourself against something that can harm you, than to control the source of it. If they have humans mine it for them (for whatever reasons since it has to go somewhere after the carts are filled), then they can be fairly certain that no one else is mining it. Ddrmaster7
Wow. I never made the connection. I can definitely see the blood altar being involved with Myreque Part 4 quest. Nice observation.
