2 weeks, 10 chests a day, Missing 3 days, Means a 100-110 dry streak, from guthans plate (115th item) to my veracs skirt (116), of course shortly after (3 chests :)) i got a flail and guthans skirt, so im not complaining :)

Hmm... 38 dry runs so far. 7 more to go then it's slayer time. I'll let you know if these final 7 yield anything.

18, got Karil's crossbow on my 3rd ever trip and then BAM! Guthans Spear.

I agree with Reb. 350 seems way out there...

 

 

 

In my barrows experience (70-87 magic and over 140m made) my longest dry spell was about 59-63 where I still made over 5m in runes. Leester was there when I finally came into some luck with a Greataxe. He was also on a mid-50's dry spell which he broke just before me. :P

 

 

 

I can't say that I enjoy dry spells, but it's not like you can't make money there anyways. Just need to get a reasonable KC quickly and it'll be fine.

First day it ever came out..i got guthans helm, then never got another item, but i've only done 30-40 runs since then. I usually do 2-3 runs, get mad, and give up.

i think a 23 trips no items or sometinh glike that is mine longest liek i alwayls say killcount 25+ does help \

Lately my barrow runs seem extremely strange. If i dont get 3 itens in 10 runs, i get nothing for at least 30 :-s

Well, after I got a Guthan Helm, Verac Skirt, Guthan Spear, and Torag Legs in 3 runs (And used up all my luck for... well, ever.), I've been on a 20 or 30 something dry spell, but I haven't really been barrowing anymore.

I'm on about ~110 at the moment, got bored now wasting 3000 bloods at cw's, hopefully once they've been used, my luck will change.

If you consider the average to be one item in twenty runs then the probability of going 350 runs without an item is about 1 in 3.6 million. :)

Thinking Twice? For long term money making maybe, but you should always try all minigames see if you like them (whisper in ear : you havent played Trouble brewing yet chen!). After all, you play the game to play right? I enjoy barrows so much that I can stay there for weeks (even tolerating the walk from Ecto to Barrows).

 

 

 

Try it. And once you get good at it, you are guarenteed to make money every trip, even if it is just runes.

Im on a 75+ dry spell right now, I haven't done much barrows in a year though. Hopefully my luck will change when I go back.

Nah, I was only joking chenw, Barrows is just like anything else in RS I reckon: you play it long enough and you'll get the rewards. That's the thing with probability based stuff, all these 30, 40, 50 dry runs will balance out over time with the day you get two items in five runs or even in the same chest. Besides short term cash isn't an issue for me really, I never had much money and if my past history is anything to go by I'd probably keep most of the barrows drops I got anyway. Personally I think the (practically) free mage xp is the biggest attraction of the barrows to me. I have plenty of pray pots (I never sold any and I never use them so I have a lot) so all I'm spending is a few hundred k on super restores.

bout 20-30ish before i get an items, but hey, i dont complain 8-), the choas add up for my fury and the bloods are a good collection of mine :P

like 20, spread out over about 5 months... then ended it with karil top and didnt go back

14. Been barrows 17 times. Got Ahrim's Hood on number 14 :).

Im on a dry run atm, on my second run i got torags plate about 50 ish runs later nothing. My friend that does barrows always gets items about every 6 runs, also he always gets good items like guthans helm :evil: .

20 runs later

 

v skirt @ 400k...ugh

 

90 runs later nothing and about 500k gp in bank i was getting 6kc and using ancients so i didnt make much without the items
