Recently a friend, (we'll call him Bob) came up to me and told me one of his good friends is going to let him wear a holloween mask. Now if Bob's good friend will let Bob wear the mask Bob is going to scam him.

It is awefull to think my friend Bob would do this. Plus Bob stated he is really good friends with this guy. Well I was just wondering whats more important to you; gp or friendship? I guess everyone has a price. How much would it take for you to scam a good friend?

Actually one of my goals (well, more like a dream then a goal) is to have someone die with a blue phat, pick up the hat, and get a screeny of me returning it :)

Quit runescape, now playing EVE-Online(Mail Cambarus and say hi  )

crime doesnt pay... I've been trusted with more rares than i could ever count, and i 100% believe that honesty and friendships are the cornorstones in ones life, if you wanna get far with whatever you do, you should never cheat or scam... But i guess a lot of runescapers are not at all this grown up, and there's some people i can honestly say that i would never trust with my stuff, simply because i don't think they have a clear understanding of what wrong and right is, sadly...

My friendships are worth $1,000,000,000,000,000,000. Any less and I will not ruin a friendship for any material possession.

I personally don't truely trust anyone on RS anymore after I lent my p-hat to a friend, who blocked me and returned years later, saying that he "lost it".

Well, was he a friend you met in the game or one you knew in real life?

My friendships are worth about 2gp I'd say.

Lend me a Hammer I'll return it, lend me anything better than a bucket and you can bet your sorry wagon you'll never see it again! :P

I am Joking of course, according to all my rl and RS friends I am quite the trustworthy and loyal one, and no price whatever the amount would make me ruin a proper friendship.

Friendships aren't buyable. Non-friendships either by the way. You sell your soul if you scam people who put trust in you by lending you their items.

That said, I rarely trust anyone with items. Still, if you're good at looking into people's minds and their honesty, you won't end up being scammed. I've lend out a phat set to a person and got it back without a problem.

I don't have so many polite friends on RS, and they would certanilly scam me if I gave them a rare to show off. So to be honest, i would be able to scam some of my "friends" for some money in RS. I'm just honest.

I find the very concept of this thread to be quite distressing. Any person with an ounce of integrity would never purposely steal from or scam another person. One cannot measure the "cost" of this in terms of game money or real money. My integrity and character do not have a price - I can't be bought by this kind of temptation.

However, on the same token, I make no special effort to trust any other player in the game. If I give something to someone, I do it knowing that I can afford to lose it. Even if the player is trustworthy, there is still the possibility that their account may get hacked or he gets scammed in some way. Even though I may trust the person, I have no guarantee that they adhere to the security guidelines.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but, I am not sure you realize tht what you heard is not what I meant.

I wouldn't scam a stranger, no amount of gp would make me scam a friend.

I find this hard to believe if a stranger just walk up and ask if you wanted to try on a santa you would give it back? Be a little more honest. Although I am glad to see some people wouldnt scam a friend. But overall tip.it people are some of the nicest people on Runescape I think.
