My mother says members is a pretty good deal assuming all the hours I spend on it every month. She doesn't even know how it's called, she calls it "The Game". Sometimes she asks me questions about it, so I start explaining her stuff about Runescape, like how much money I got, what I'm doing, but she doesn't understand a thing and usually just looks at me dumbfully.

Yeah, about that...My dad hates it, and would never let me get a membership unless I begged my mom. My mom thinks its a waste of time but lets me play anyway, but when my membership expires, it takes months to convince them to let me get it again :(

they don't care....and even if they hated it, it wouldn't stop me from playing it

for awhile they really didn't care and liked the game but all of a sudden they gone ballistic on me and i only been able to play like 1 day in like 2 weeks i got kicked off for a week becasue my dad thought i didn't do my math homework but i showed him and he like well to bad any way :twisted: -.-

Well I recently ran into the problem of my father complaining about how much time I spend playing RS (AGAIN). And he found some way to block it out of our internet and I'm trying to find a way to get it back. Any ideas would be wonderful.

 

 

 

But I did play rough 4-6 hours a weekday and sometimes up to 10 hours on a weekend, BUT!!! I am in good shape I have decent grades, high 80-low90's and I hold up a good relationsionship with my girl friend and I get all my chores done so I don't see why they should complain about the time I spend on here.

 

 

 

 

 

All in all, and on topic, my parents hate the game with a passion. Help me get it back! Lol

 

 

 

P.S. Could anyone post the text from this new parenting guide from the KB as I can't read it and want to show it to my parents.

As a parent my self, playing this game, plus having a daughter playing, I have to say I think runescape is great :)

hey, anyone who says their parents wont get them membership, just use pay by phone, you call up a number and it gives you a code for membership you put in, when the phone bulls comes they won't even notice

 

 

 

That is disgusting. Same thing to the person who's trying to avoid their parents block of the website. Listen to your parents kids, they generally have a good idea on what's right and wrong and if you're spending too much time on something or not.

 

 

 

Once you hit high school, that's when you can be rebelious, but be rebelious only to the degree where you can still talk to your parents about important matters (Drugs, Alcohol, Sexual relations). Don't disobey your parents when it comes to something as simple as Runescape. Show them the game, negotiate with them, prove to them that you are responsible and will still do well in school while still being able to play Runescape and going outside!

 

 

 

On-Topic: My parents trust me in making the right decisions, they have very little to worry and as some of you know I've quit being a member to focus more on school work. Having them not barging into your room and leaving you be is called being able to trust them and they to trust you. It's easy if you get started on the right foot but can be a pain to earn back. Do NOT take these generally loving folks of your for granted. Listen to them, they have some great knowledge to dispense before their time is up with you. Once you hit college and you don't see them every day that's pretty much it except for the summers and breaks. Live, Love, and Learn from them.

My parents have no idea i have ever play games on my laptop.

 

 

 

8-) Bur i play probably 4hours per day.

 

 

 

They just think i do alot of homework :XD:

my mom sometimes gets annoyed when i play a lot but once my membership runs out i plan to cut back on playing time a lot

No offence, but your mother doesn't seem that caring. Playing a game as much as possible just to get the best out of it's price is just not right.

my mom doesnt mind as long as i get good marks, and dont spend 10 hours a day on rs, my dad gives me a lecture about how too much fatasy games will get to my head one day

my mum is anoyed when i play more then 2 hours, and my dad says that this game is like "drugs"..... lol. But they dont give me membership either, so i just have ask my grandperents (they are cool, they call internet the NEW thing.....)

My mum Lets me play for like 4 hours a day now. i used to play for like the whole day. dad he is to busy making his little model stuff (planes boats)

My parents hate it, blame it for everything that goes wrong in my life!! Playig RS til 2 in the morning and then getting busted by them might have something to do with it i suppose :-k

My mum will come and stop me if I've been playing too long, but she is pretty lenient about it.

 

 

 

My dad is a total control freak and gets really stressy about me using the computer as it is. I don't even play RS in the week, when i probably could because he doesn't come home until late. But I respect his rules to I don't disobey him.

As long as my grades are good. I can play whenever I want.

 

 

 

 

 

So with the new release of the parent guide I thought it would be a good time to ask what ur parents, parent, or guardian think of runescape..,,,

 

 

 

 

 

My parents have a split view, my mom doesnt really care she just wants me to do what I want, and my dad hates runescape and all computers he is the jock type and wants me to excel in sports lame.....

 

 

 

It is possible to play runescape and be a good athlete. I play runescape quite a bit but also am a good athlete.

 

 

 

But my parents think its a waste of time.

 

 

 

When I get nervous I can sprint like a cheetah, except for longer =)) (probably to make sure i can sprint out of class and get out of doing my English speech on [insert boring topic here])

 

 

 

On topic: Mum can talk about but blames it for any bad marks i might get (that's really rare but I'm talking 69% for my worst subject) and my dad says I should be more active. Atleast he's not banning me :D

Well, my parents care alot that I play RuneScape. My mom cares because she works on the computer and never lets me go on. My dad is the one who hates computers, video games, and technology. He wants me to spend less time on the computer and video games and more time outside playing sports (even though I rarely go outside, HAH! :twisted: )

They're okay with it, but...I don't really live with my parents, so I really have no say in this.
