What form of entertainment you can't live without

Featured Replies

I'm just wondering, hypothetical, if there was one form of entertainment you could have for the rest of your life, what would it be? And by this, I mean: books, video games, television, movies or music. Pretend everything else in life is the same, and that money is an object (this way, TV gains one on something like video games because it's relatively free).

Alternately, you can rate from 1 to 5 in what order you enjoy these forms of entertainment.

Some form of justification is also encouraged. I will post my own thoughts when I have some time to think it over. It's really a dilly of a pickle, that's why I posted it. :-k

Have fun!

Edit - I might as well post this in the topic: Internet/computer should not be posted, as they aren't really forms of entertainment.

My computer. Play RS, Halo, Sim City 4, Rise Of Nations, and a lot of other games from it :3> =P~

Internet. It unites all other forms of entertainment like the keystone in an arch. Without it..... lets not think of that society.

Internet, because I can obtain anything I want from it.

Or if you consider that cheating, let's say music. I'm addicted to music. d^-^b

I think maybe it should be limited to choosing one of the five you listed. I could say my computer as enertainment, because I watch movies, tv shows, listen to music, I have over 10,000 ebooks, and I could play games on it. That would be cheating though.

Out of those five choices, it would be a very difficult decision. Music and TV I would eliminate first. I could probably eliminate video games next. A toss up between books and movies, movies would probably win. Wouldn't want to ever have to make that decission.

Hmm... i'd have to go with video games. However, I wanna rate them too:

1. Video Games.

2. Music

3. Television

4. Movies

5. Books.

That's from 1 being the most wanted to 5 I don't care about :D

1. sports

2. comedy

3. fighting/kung fu*/ movies

1. Books

2. Videogames

3. Televison

1. Books. Yes, I did just put books first. In my opinion, nothing can be as stimulating as a good book.

2. Movies/television.

3. Movies/television.

4. Video games.

5. Music.

books, video games, television, movies or music

1. Movies.

2. Music.

3. Books.

5. Video Games/Television

No, there's no number 4. I know. Of course the movies. They are very important to me, more important than music, that's why it is on the second place. Books are interesting, when they are about movies. So I put it on number three. And I don't care about television or video games, so that's easy. Both on five.

My computer/the internet. With it, I can get books, movies, music, video games, TV shows, enormous amounts of useful information, news, forums, instant messaging

Sure, humans have been able to survive without a computer for ages. But IMO it is one of the best if not the best invention of the 20th century. There are so many things you can do with a computer it's unbelieveable.

If that's not enough, well... You can earn money on the internet and buy real books or music/movies etc. if you insist, but how many people can earn money by reading books or listening to music, to buy a computer? 8-)

Books are probably the most enduring form of entertainment. No matter if all the oil and energy sources run out, you still have your books...

The computer is just the thing you can get it trough. Not the form of entertainment.

The question is not: what's your favorite machine: Computer, DVD-player, Printer, CD-player or television.

The question is: what's your favorite form of entertainment: Reading, watching movies, listening music, playing videogames etc.

An what form of entertainment you need the most.

And.

Then probably newspapers and television, but most young people these days couldn't give two craps about them. I can recommend it though 8-) I also collect DVD's (in digital form...) though I don't have even NEAR as many as you. Holy cow.

music you can't live without the music

1. Music, and making it

2. Internet

3. Video games

4. Sports (didn't mention anyone it? :anxious: )

5. Books

At least, I think that.

Internet above all others. =;

1. Movies

2. Music

3. TV

4. Video Games

5. Books

Music was closely beaten by Movies and could probably beat it it on another day. I still enjoy a few programmes on the TV and could probably give up gaming easier than TV., but those two are pretty close. Lastly books, I don't read a lot of them but that doesn't mean I don't read at all.

Music, followed by books. Other than that, I could live without.

I honestly wouldn't know what to do with myself without music... I actually CONSTANTLY listen to it.

SHH HUT YUH MUH. DERKHED.

me without music is like a bird without wings :ohnoes:

bloodyrbsig5lh.gif

I listen to music pretty much all day, save when I'm playing basketball. Even at school I listen to it because I have an Ipod. /end brag :)

I could never make it through without music, my life would be better with out any sort of video games but they're so addicting. They take up over one third of my day easily.

So I would have to say music because that's what my life revolves around.
