New Prayers - With pics!

If you view the Runescape Knowledge base, you'll see where I got some ideas and percents from. I would think a quest requirement would be in order for this.

 

 

 

For the new prayers with the arrows, the maximum % you can rise to as a bonus is 20% and minus of 10%. Which means that 10 sucessful hits will get you maxed out. Everytime you get a sucessful hit, the left arrow fills up and the right arrow empties, when they're completely full and empty, you are currently maxed out. :ohnoes: :twisted:

Level 55: Rapid Sprint

 

Discription: 2x Restore rate for Energy

 

Drainrate: 2x Rapid Restore

 

 

 

Level 58: Rapid Special

 

Discription: 2x Restore rate for Special Attack Bar

 

Drainrate: 2x Rapid Heal

 

 

 

Level 61: Extreme Defense

 

Discription: Increases your Defense by 20%

Level 64: Massive Strength

 

Discription: Increases your Strength by 20%

Level 67: Precise Attack

 

Discription: Increases your Attack by 20%

Level 70: Phoenix Eye

 

Discription: Increases your Range by 20%

 

Drainrate: 2x Hawk Eye

 

 

 

Level 73: Mystic Law

 

Discription: Increases your Magic by 20%

Level 76: Energy Drain *Protection Prayer*

 

Discription: 1/4 of damage done is drained from opponents Energy

 

Drainrate: 2x Retribution

 

 

 

Level 79: Special Energy Drain *Protection Prayer*

 

Discription: 5% of damage done is removed from your opponents Special Attack

 

Drainrate: 2x Smite

 

 

 

Level 82: Endure *Only 1 can be active at once*

 

Discription: Everytime you do damage, your Defense rises by 2% and your Strength lowers by 1% if you hit 0 or deactivate, it restarts at 2%

 

Drainrate: 3x Protect Items

 

 

 

Level 83: Berserk *Only 1 can be active at once*

 

Discription: Everytime you do damage, your Strength rises by 2% and your Attack lowers by 1%. If you hit 0 or deactivate, it restarts at 2%

 

Drainrate: 3x Protect Items

 

 

 

Level 84: Quick Claw *Only 1 can be active at once*

 

Discription: Everytime you do damage, your Attack rises by 2% and your Defense lowers by 1%. If you hit 0 or deactivate, it restarts at 2%.

 

Drainrate: 3x Protect Items

 

 

 

Level 85: Flurry *Only 1 can be active at once*

 

Discription: Everytime you do damage, your Range rises by 2% and your Defence lowers by 1%. If you hit 0 or deactivate, it restarts at 2%.

Level 86: Hidden Power *Only 1 can be active at once*

 

Discription: Everytime you do damage, your Mage rises by 2% and your Defence lowers by 1%. If you hit 0 or deactivate, it restarts at 2%.

Level 88: Holy Regeneration

 

Discription: 10x Restore Rate for Health and Stats

 

Drainrate: 2x Redemption

 

 

 

Level 91: Safeguard from Mage *Protection Prayer*

75% Damage reduction from player magic attacks

 

75% Time reduction from player holding spells

 

Drainrate: 2x Protect from Mage

 

 

 

Level 94: Safeguard from Range *Protection Prayer*

 

Discription: 100% Immunity from monsters' ranged attacks

 

75% Damage reduction from player ranged attacks

 

Drainrate: 2x Protect from Range

 

 

 

Level 97: Safeguard from Melee *Protection Prayer*

 

Discription: 100% Immunity from monsters' melee attacks

 

75% Damage reduction from player melee attacks

Good! i agree with the basic ideas of more high level prayers... BUT...

 

 

 

A few points to make.

 

 

 

Flurry and Hidden Power should reduce defence percentages, not the range or mage. A ranger in the wildy will not usually have mage up his sleeve, or vice versa. the costs are too high if the character dies.

 

 

 

Also, the high level protection are okay, but not practical. all it does is make you a killling machine in the wildy. Come on, a level 126 with 75% protection from otheres attacks? and he hits about a 50?

 

 

 

No.

 

 

 

The rest is good, but for burnout and the others, make it stop at a 30% bonus, and don't have it stop when you hit zero. Otherwise the prayers aren't very effective.

 

 

 

Good ideas overall.

The improved protection prayers are not useful at all in pvm. At such a high lvl prayer, having double/triple protection prayers that drain at a rate as though two protect prayers are on at the same time would be more beneficial though

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

Lots of the ideas are very good, some are okay, others are not very useful or are simply not so good. Overall, however; good job!

Why do you resist? My experiments are only helping humanity push the boundaries of the Art of Toxicology... you should be proud to be one of my victims.

The protect prayers aren't that overpowered. I would imagine they drain 2x as fast as the regular ones, which is pretty dang quick. I'd imagine that the level 99 Prayer cape would be a nice benefit to help prayer last longer once it comes out.

 

 

 

And @ Elphin, I prefer my idea more. :? With my idea, it's not likely to get even 20 sucessful hits in a row, even if you are level 126. It's just a nice little bonus based on pure luck. :wink: If you got up to 30% no matter what, that would be way too overpowered.

 

 

 

I fixed up the new prayers to be +2% and -1% instead. Also made the Mage and Range ones lower Defence. Special Energy Drain now drains 5% rather than 10% too.

good prayers and nice work, but i think it would be difficult to move around the prayer interface. Jagex kinda drove themself into a rut with that, limiting the prayers they can do.

Nice ideas. Having more higher leveled prayers would give players more incentive to bury bones. And for those people that already have a high leveled prayer, they would be rewarded for the time they took to bury thousand and thousands of bones. :thumbsup:

The biggest problem with your "Raise 2%, lower 1%" prayers is abuse. Pkers will train on npc building up his str to certain level, potion his attack back to normal.

 

 

 

Now it's a matter of keeping his prayer active until time to fight. That can be done at an altar until he's pm'd that targets are in sight, he teleports near the site and prepares to truly devastate within 2 or 3 hits.

 

 

 

The other prayers are cool. However the biggest problem with prayers are that the boosting prayers drain too fast. It should balanced with super pots in draining speed. In other words, using +15% prayer and 4 dose prayer pot should keep my attack boosted for the same length of time as using 4 dose super attack.

One thing you got wrong there, if the Attack lowers by 2%, you can't rise it back up. It doesn't lower the stat itself. For example, Ultimate Strength rises Strength by 15% but the stat itself doesn't rise.

 

 

 

And the second part, that would just make it that much funner to pk. :wink: But he could still miss when he attacks anyhow, therefore making it go back to the 2% start, since it does afterall lower Attack.

 

 

 

@Swazman- No, these would be members only, probably with a quest requirement. It would be a whole different set of prayers itself.

wow nice work, i agree, there needs to be some higher level prayers at the moment once you get 52 prayer, its only usefull to get it higher for cb lvls or to make your prayer last longer. Having these new prayers would allow players to have a reason to get their prayer beyond 52.

 

 

 

As for the idea that these prayer's would be overpowerd, i dont think they will be, as it takes a lot of time and hard work to get prayer that high. so not many people will be able to use it anyway, and if you do get prayer to those lvls i think you deserve to be able to have an advantage over you'r opponents.

 

 

 

Also, is these prayers were released, would this also release a new type of pure?....the prayer pure :-s
