EB0NY5
Throughout the world we are seeing the effects of global warming - eventually we will see the melting of the polar icecaps and flooding of the lower regions of land in the world. Alot of this global warming is caused by trees being chopped **wm - there then aren't enough trees to rid the atmosphere of carbon dioxide which traps the heat in. 38515000000 is the combined experience of the top 5000 wcers ( I assumed they all had exactly 7,703,839 xp) - it is probably quite alot MORE than that, but I couldn't count them all indevidually. The top 5000 all have at least 7,703,839 xp. I multiplied that number by 5000. giving me 38519195000. 1,773 people have 99 wcing. So I took away 7,703,839 from 13,000,000 and timsed that by 1,773. This was 9,390,093,453 I then added 9,390,093,453 to 38515000000 47,905,093,453 was my answer. 47 billion, 905 million, 93 thousand and 453. That is approximately the total x* of the top 5000 wcers...the actual number is a hell of alot more. Most people, once they reach 93 woodcutting (only people with 93 wc+ were in the top 5000) are only cutting willows, yews and magics (maples not so commenly). I used yews as a common tree so I divided the total xp (47,905,093,453) by 175 - the xp for every yew log you get. This gave me 273743391. That's how many yew logs have been collected. I then calculated how many yew trees have been cut down - 68435848. The equivalent to Sixty eight MILLION yew trees have been cut down on runescape. Now we look at the size of runescape. It is comparatively small - compared to our world, earth it is about the size of amedium/large city. For a land so small it would be catastrophic to lose 68435848 trees. That's not counting all the willows that have been cut down by people with less then 93 wcing, easily another 30 Million trees. The number of trees, 100M being cut down is massive. Looking at those numbers, theoretically runescape should be going through global warming - so lets make it happen jagex! Let's see what happens when lumbridge swamps becomes a sea, all the snow melting from near relleka would cause this. Let's see what happens to pesky evil Bob when his island goes underwater...That'll teach him! Runescape could be more water orientated. Personally, I would like to see the happen on runescape for about a week, maybe just as a taster to what it would be like in real life - then of course jagex would become the enviromentalists that they are inside and restore it back to normal! sligo
You should add to your equation all the smoke from all the fires that either burn infinitely or are burned for the firemaking skill. This carbon dioxide gas put into the air will further enhance global warming... You know what, I would say something inappropriate here but I'd get booted off this forum faster than I can say "Al Gore." Let's not do global warming in Runescape, Ok? What purpose would it serve other than to further someone's political agenda? ;-) - Sligo I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but, I am not sure you realize tht what you heard is not what I meant. benisfab
You forget 1 thing, in real life, the trees are not being repaced at a fast enough rate. in runescape jagex have made sure that if a tree is cut down. it is replaced within a minute :-s Jagex DO care :-k  My Blog2 Visage Drops.Over 1800 Castle Wars Tickets.. justj2
yes but your not exactly going to suddenly have solar powered... things in runescape, medi-evil times werent that advanced, they knew what they did and they survived with it leaving us with a worse atmosphere but thats not the point... i like this idea, maybe have tides? when the tide is out you can go kill rock crabs on the shore but when the tide is in... i dont know, say you have to get diving gear from recepi of disaster? i dont know im just suggestin, like the idea as it is though :) MMORPG - Many Men Online Role Playing Girls - LOL, but how true?Oh and none of the people you see online saying "looking for bf" are girls. Shaddd
While we're at it, let's add a spell list that summons pencils. RuneScape is a game, not real life. It has magic, it has monsters. Does real life have these things? No, we don't. We have fonies. If this WAS implemented into the game, magic could fix it.

Dalcyte
you're not really taking into the account that runescape's trees, grow back every 30 seconds, and there are over a 120 (worlds) places where this happens. Runescape is where i go to get away from the global warming stuff in a way, kinda...it would be random and pointless to bring it in there Click for mah Blog!- I'm not sure why you would though because i never update it Achieved 99 Thieving 3/10/07-992nd to it
