October 15, 200619 yr When i first joined Tip.It several months ago, i remember seeing one specific thread in these forums. It was called ATW: Anti-Teleportation Week. In it, one user challenged others to not teleport for one week and see if they could keep up the challenge. I didn't join because i barely knew Tip.It and wasn't that sure what was going on. Now i've decided to bring the idea back. If anyone remembers who did the first ATW, please let me know so i can give him or her credit. Anti-Teleportation Week is exactly as it seems. It is one week where you do not use teleportation of any kind or form, to remind us of what it was like when we first began, and to see if we're up to the challenge. This contest has several rules and if for both F2P and P2P players. There are several rules. -No teleportation of any kind be it Modern, Ancient, or Lunar Magic -No teleportation jewelry of any kind may be used (Ring of Dueling, Amulet of Glory, and so on) -No other teleportation items, such as Skull Scepters or Pharoah Scepters -No forms of transportation such as Gnome Gliders, Dwarf Carts, or Canoes -No using of House or Wilderness Portals -You may not use death as a form of teleportation. Unintentional deaths are an exception -You must change your Gaze of Saradomin from Falador back to Lumbridge (this rule applies only to those who have beaten the Recruitment Drive quest). Do this by speaking to Sir Tiffy in Falador Park Those are the rules for ATW2, but there are a few exceptions: -An unintentional death will not violate the rules -If you are going into a risky situation and wish to wear a Ring of Life, you may do so -If an NPC offers you a teleport during a quest, it will not violate the rules -Boats to places that would be unreachable by any other form are allowed. Such as the boats to Void Knights and from Port Sarim to Karamja. But, boat shortcuts such as Feldip Hills to Karamja are not allowed -Teleports to places unreachable by any other form are allowed. Examples are the Rune Essence mines -Random event teleports are not a violation ATW2 will officially begin on Saturday, October 21 at 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time. I am aware of the TET event on that day, and have set the starting time to several hours afterwards. The challenge will last until Saturday, October 28 at 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time. (If anyone has a link for a time converter, please post it). There will not be any special event to start it, but i will hold a small event to end ATW2. Check this thread for the location of the ending ceremony. This is where i will post the list of those who are going to be participating. October 15, 200619 yr good idea, but whats the point? life would just be much harder....it would be like seeing how many people can do without ANY form of transport for a week, people wouldnt be able to go shopping, go to work etc...
October 15, 200619 yr us members thats nearly impossible now adays, f2p would have it alot easier, members is like 10x as big :? look on the world map, try going canfis to draynor to cammy to ardy for 1 farm loop!? slayer would be killer since common tasks are in either troll area or canfis then going back to draynor although it is an interesting idea, p2p i dont think could do it. it would basicly ruin my whole day :? i mean i tele'ed twice just typing this! :uhh:
October 15, 200619 yr Stilev, I'd probably be able to do it. Does the boat to the Void Knight Outpost count? Or for F2P, the Karamja boat? If it does, then a lot of people wouldn't be able to do it. The only hard part for me will be the "forms pf transportation"...But I'll be up for the challenge... The only hard part for me will be the "forms pf transportation"...But I'll be up for the challenge... no offence or anything, but your alot lower lvl then i am, at lower lvls the stuff is alot closer together, for me, i gatta tele like 3 times to get where i wanna go, and if i just walked i would waste like 10mins+ just getting to 1 palce that usually only takes a few secs :? jsut seems like a waste of time walking to fally from varrok is easy, try going form canfis to ardy and back is usually 10mins work with teles, try it 4 times in a day walking also im not camping any where
October 16, 200619 yr Hey put me down for it RSN is Deathwish121. I never usually teleport anyway. Does teleing to rune essence count? I know its considered a teleport cuz you can get the appendage random from it.

October 16, 200619 yr I'll join for the fun of it. I hardly teleport anyway. In fact, I don't want to use my laws because I'm afraid I might run out.
