October 27, 200619 yr I've been wondering and i can't find it anywhere, what attack lvl do you need to wield Abyssal Whip :?:
October 27, 200619 yr 70  it really isn't much better than dragon scimitar against monsters, but thats my opinion....
October 27, 200619 yr i prefer the whip for killing monsters, but for a lower costing weapon the d scimmy is great and monkey madness isnt too hard to complete [hide=Drops]Dragon Axe x11Berserker Ring x9Warrior Ring x8SeercullDragon MedDragon Boots x4 - all less then 30 kcGodsword Shard (bandos)Granite Maul x 3Solo only - doesn't include barrows[/hide][hide=Stats][/hide]
October 27, 200619 yr i love my whip i have a d scim but i hit more 0s with it than whip idk maybe cuzmy char never used anything but a whip for months Click sig for blog ^^ 6,627th to 99 fletching33,986th to 99 attack4,871st to 99 thieving Whip drops: 28 / Dark Bows: 7 / Hexcrests: 7 / Focus Sights: 1 / Staffs of Light: 6 / Dragon Chainbodies: 2 (1 KQ Solo 1 Dust Devil)
October 27, 200619 yr Dragon Scmitar: +67 Slash, +66 Strength Abyssal Whip: +82 Slash, +82 Strength That +15/+16 difference may not seem like much, but it certainly makes a huge difference against higher level monsters/PC gates. The two weapons operate at the same speed, but you're going to hit more often with the Whip, and when you do hit, it's going to be for more damage. In the long run, that is going to speed up your training time dramatically. And the Whip allows you to train all three combat skills at once, distributing 6xp/hit over all three, as opposed to putting only 4xp/hit into one skill. That's 50% more xp per hit. And you hit more often. And for more damage. The only drawback is price, and the inability to put 4xp/hit towards strength (but why would you even want to anyway if you can put 6xp towards all three?).
October 27, 200619 yr i agree, 2m vs 100k but i think whip is worth it Click sig for blog ^^ 6,627th to 99 fletching33,986th to 99 attack4,871st to 99 thieving Whip drops: 28 / Dark Bows: 7 / Hexcrests: 7 / Focus Sights: 1 / Staffs of Light: 6 / Dragon Chainbodies: 2 (1 KQ Solo 1 Dust Devil)
October 27, 200619 yr 70 att but you cant train str with it so that SUCKS Just train strength another way... Whip is awesome though, whether or not it can train strength.
October 27, 200619 yr Train Str with your d scim and train att with whip duh #-o lol are you sure it gives 6 exp to att str and def? or hp? per hit? i dont think its like that but i might be wrong :^o Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.Oscar Wilde
October 27, 200619 yr whip is slightly faster than d scimm, and has a better strength bonus. I'm pretty sure they are the same speed..

October 28, 200619 yr D scimmy and whip are the same speed O_O well seems i'v been wrong about the speed for awhile then =_= barrows drops-my first ahrims top
October 28, 200619 yr And the Whip allows you to train all three combat skills at once, distributing 6xp/hit over all three, as opposed to putting only 4xp/hit into one skill. i wonder if that's right. i thought it's more like 2exp to attack and defence and 1,5exp to hp per damage point dealt, I might be wrong though, since I still don't have a whip of my own #-o wtf
