Umega
RuneScape has a new poll up. This time it's: What kind of update do you most look forward to? Holiday events 25% New skills 38% New quests 9% Graphical improvements 8% Improvements to old skills 11% New minigames 6% Most of you chose "New Skills". Why did most people choose "New Skills" for? We already have enough skills IMO, we don't need anymore. Maybe summoning, but that would probably be a spell list for Magic. I personally went for New quests. More quests the better for me. So people that-want-more-skills, what kind of skills are you expecting? :-k No longer playing Runescape, I caught the WoW bug. transcript80
Wat about graphics, 8% only =( Well I think the graphix are fairly bad after all, because this is a JAVA game. They will never be any good. So why update them? If I want stunning grafix, I'll play WoW or something. I like this game the way it is, I don't really need grafic updates (although I liked the new demons and dragons!) but welcome any that may come to us in the future. Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...

Jake_Corsair
Voted on "New Quests" also, I really enjoy the storylines. Plus a lot fo quests reward us with items or new map areas and training spots. Something that's (usually) still usefull after the quest is done and forgotten. Well I think the graphix are fairly bad after all, because this is a JAVA game. They will never be any good. So why update them? If I want stunning grafix, I'll play WoW or something. I agree, if you're looking for awesome, knock you socks off graphics, this isn't the game for you. But considering it is just a JAVA game, I think the graphics are pretty amazing for it. If Jagex ever made a perfect update, there would be players complaining about nothing to complain about.[hide=My Stats][/hide]

TeeBeaun
i like improvements to old skills, like adding the combat pots, it makes harrlanders worth picking up again for me. Small things like that i like.
meb
Improvements to old skills definately, there are lots of things that could make the existing skills even better. Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks. X_Seismic_X
I was suprised when I saw this too, I guess it's just the lower level players who love massive updates because they get bored so easily? Personally I hate all updates, I wish they would stop, it's not like I'm going to quit if they stop updating.
nielsdek
yes i would love some more team bosses, but i voted skill improvements (i want mountable daga king heads for my house) I was once at the airport with my friends in California, had to go "potty" really bad, and just pissed my pants in the middle of the terminal. (All the cool kids piss in their pants, right?)barrows loot: lost countdaga king loot: lost count :p
atestarossa
voted for quests... as the quest noob i am :P i am not stunned about so many choosing skills, but this is also the same persons (mostly) that complain about them too when they came out, because they were not ecsactly as they though it would be. personal, i am glad when a new skill comes out, but i am still happy as things are now, mr. gower did himself say that it for ever time, there is a skill beeng worked on, okay, there will be more skills. fun, i need to get another skill 40+ and i am happy for it... but things like quests and all those little things making the game even more perfect (exsept of the graphics of cource) is great for me

nightwolf06
I'd go for updates to skills. As we already have enough, but maybe tweak them or something for those who have level 99? maybe or add ons to slayer so it's not jsut 85 everyone sticks to? I'd like more quests, maybe easier ones, and some continued ones. \
jessy87
Holiday events 25% - free fun stuff, who wouldnt vote for it? New skills 38% - alot of time can be wasited on a new skill, a new quest is like 20mins and your done unless it gives useful stuff... New quests 9% - good but short lived Graphical improvements 8% - good but goes unnoticed quickly Improvements to old skills 11% - good but usually too high or useless for most New minigames 6% - could go either way, look @ castle wars and pc, then look @ trouble brewing

Sharane
Skills are nice but can you really compare Slayer, farming and construction to Desert Treasure, Recipe for Disaster and Mourning's End 2? :-k "300 programmers make their futile but glorious last stand against 1000000 angry players in The battle of Misthalin. They fight for honor, glory and new content sacrificing themselves so that their game may live on. This is Madness! This Is JAGEEEX!"
jessy87
Skills are nice but can you really compare Slayer, farming and construction to Desert Treasure, Recipe for Disaster and Mourning's End 2? :-k no, because slayer has made so much $ for people, farming has made soo much $ for people. and construction has saved so much $ for people. and its made a huge impact on the economy, and from what duke freedom wrote it does alot...good or bad who cares it did... quests dont really change the economy much, look @ "dragon" and "barrows" gloves same magic attack as infinity gloves and still people pay almost 1mil for inf gloves. wakka has had 89 whip drops, and @ 2mil each(i know some were worth more) thats 178m at LEAST. farming, ive heard some people buying red party hats thru farming ranarrs, if a red party hat was like 100mil thats alot of farming and alot of $ construction, drained inflation alot and then allowed for things like the barrows repair stand and other stuff. it made people some $ for building flat packs and paying for guilded altar useage As an owner of a quest cape, I would have to say that the quests are the things that I look forward to the most. Member quests are pretty much the only reason I joined it in the first place. what the hell do you do in your spare time?
Umega
I don't want to spend more time on new skills, soon there might be too many skills to work on. We now have the 2 most wanted skills: farming and construction and they'll do for a long time. Runescape doesn't "need" anymore skills and it's too hard for me to imagine what the next skill will be... :-k No longer playing Runescape, I caught the WoW bug.
