Does anyone else do (larger) jigsaw puzzles?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I haven't really done any in the past few years, but I was looking the closet today and I found this

 

 

 

 

 

 

(most pieces should be there too :P)

Ahh yes, the good old 3D jigsaw puzzles. I always enjoyed those. The bad thing about them is with the bigger structures they aren't very strong. Also the picture will start peeling off of the foam pretty easily. They aren't as durable as normal jigsaw puzzles, but just as fun.

I think I might try to get to work on it tomorrow :P

I used to do jigsaw puzzles but I don't have the time for them anymore.. Or the patience. :-w

I used to do them a lot when I was younger. Loved them. :)

my family has a lot of "impossible" puzzles. They have no border and 5 extra pieces that go nowhere :P

 

 

 

On the plus side, they usually have an amusing challenge to them.

I love puzzles. When I was 4 or 5, for Christmas, my family got a 3D Taj Mahal puzzle. We were at my grandma's house, with almost all my other relatives and we spent pretty much the whole day working on it. And every time my Aunt and Uncle visit my family's house, they bring some giant 1000-500 piece puzzle of an animal. And on that animal are a bunch of other animals. For example, there's a huge dolphin puzzle that has a bunch of pictures of fish on it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And about 3D puzzles: They're awesome. I have 4 mini ones that I take apart e few times a year and rebuild them. And I have a Great Wall of China one, which is personally my favorite, since I'm Chinese.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What I really would like to see is a Fenway Park/Boston puzzle. A Fenway one with all the players, the Green Monster and even dugouts would be awesome.

I did a model of the Queen Mary II as well as a model of Titanic. And I' working on a costum model of Poseidon, and I've began a wood carving of the Titanic's Reading and Writing Room.

I used to have a jigsaw puzzle shaped like the globe. God that was hard... cos it was all blue, brown and green... #-o :( But I did it!!!!! :thumbsup:

we do a 3d one every new years, in the past weve done entire famous streets, star wars characters, LOTR characters ect

I also did a 1 meter sub and aircraft carrier out of good old MegaBlocks.

I tried one of those once. :( I failed.

I forgot to mention, the model of Titanic I made was out of those (puzzle things)! It was sort of hard.

Hmm I didn't notice that first time I saw it. But why does it need to be politically correct? Just because the towers were attacked and lost doesn't mean they're 'forbidden' to talk about/show pictures of.
