I think you can put catched animals into your house... like killed (trophyes) or living (in gage or something). I hope new armor and weps for iron pures also ;) :P

Gosh darn it, this sounds exciting. One of the benefits of hunting, I anticipate, will be a new range of high-level foods that are more efficient healers than fishing. Fishing is a ridiculously easy skill to level, and so a skill that requires thought (as hunting sounds like it will do, setting traps and so on) will create a new market in expensive high-end food. Finally, a way of making money more interesting than repeatedly clicking on patches of water...

I've been dropping stuff for 2 months now, all hail bank space! I really hope the new hunting skill won't introduce food better than sharks though, I'm halfway through my stack of 14k feathers that will get me 76 fishing -.- .

Lets hope they make hunter skill a NON buyable skill like fishing, mining, woodcutting and so on.

Dont worry, the Shark's market is unlikely to go down unless the new better food takes next to little more effort to get than sharks. Despite the Introduction of Tuna Potato's you didnt see sharks going down the drain did you? This will most likely not be the case here either.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Although just a pointer, Sharks are incredibly slow at 76 fishing. Dont use it for money unless you multitask a lot.

i dont think it will be another moneymaker, jagex has learned his lesson with slayer. i think it will be partial drain.

Yes the space would be nice, but I would much rather have a better way of organising my bank and no increase in size.

I've been thinking some time about Hunting, and I got a cool idea :D. Maybe we're able to catch our own Pets? Like Wolfs, Bears and much more! That would be so great :D.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And what about the Forest of Tirannwn and Prifdinass! The Forest is great for Hunting, and there's not much to do yet.

@Chenw: I just got 76 for personal use, don't worry. I barrow for my cash (wich will go a lot easier with sharks I can tell you, those 100 year odls i get from TT don't suffise) :) . And I'm sure I will be needing my cash for hunting, those hunter tools will cost nice sums.

So don't train it >.> Have people just forgotten games are supposed to be fun? If you don't like an aspect of the game, don't play that part of it, no one's forcing you to. Personally I like the idea of a new skill to train, everyone is different, and therefore Jagex need to cater to everyone, which they do extremely well.

I'm thinking there is a lot of potential with this new skill... When they say new armors, i'm thinking fur clothes for adventuring in a cold place...

Also it got me thinking that this skill isn't a slayer skill, but a massive resource gathering skill like fishing. New dragonhides for crafting, food for cooking, and possibly new high level monsters that require teams to kill, like maybe a mammoth.

yes that would be teh ownage. when i went round a frends house (who plays guild wars), you can have pets on that and use them when fighting p v p or p v npc and theyre great fun.

well jagex have been hinting at the icelands release now for ages, what with the penguins and the fremminik quests, and it seems the most logical thingg to do as the north is the only area of the map they havent really expanded
