neogeo0823 Posted November 2, 2006 Share Posted November 2, 2006 ok, guys, lets be reasonable, serious, and intelligent for a moment. and in that order, i might add. firstly, theres no way that summoning and hunting could be the same thing. summoning has to do with bringing animals to your side through various means. hunting has to do with skillfully trapping, killing, and selling the byproducts of animals. secondly, look at this skill from a standalone point of view. dont think of it as "oh, this isnt combat, its worthless" or "oh, this is gonna be a money sink, like construction". look at it like its the only skill out there, in otherwords, dont go comapring it to other skills, see it as its own thing. for me, i see this as an interesting, fun skill. it will finally give us a use for those animal furs, and maybe help us make a bit of profit. it will take alot of strategy to skillfully trap animals, then kill em and sell their furs to the right guy for money and new equipment. finally, just because it doesnt comform to your high standards of money making and easy of use and integrity with other skills, dont instantly denounce it as worthless. all skills have a use and all skills are valuable in their own way. just wait till the skill comes out and then youll see for yourself. I couldn't care less if he was Andrew Gower himself, I just don't like arrogant smegheads. *in the voice of the comic book guy from the simpsons* best. quote. You know, you try and have a lot of fun and you get xp, and the best place to train would be the NEW Runescape Theme Park. I love it! Skills I want made: Fun Eating Train Driving (lol) Being Sick (lolol) Horse Riding (actuallly quite kool) Also, I want them to make pig's attackable, and make a new item, Pork. I mean seriously. Who wants a level 6 imp by their side? Whats he gonna do? Pelt us with burnt bread and ashes? Really. -.- I would want an imp by my side! Level 6 is higher than me and i could send it in to kill things for me :3> on topic: I really don't think summoning is hunting. In real-life hunting you don't keep the rabbit/fox/bear, you kill it for its fur or to stop it killing your chickens! You don't keep it as a nice pet to help you... Hundreds of new objects and large areas of the map will now be opened up to you to explore and lay in wait for these pesky varmints. Rewards range from brand new weapons and armour all the way to your own imp in a box. That from Runescape site, the reward will be an imp in a box, and it aint got anything to do with that. I saw a demo, although it did fail to summon anything... and handily that was his last potion... No. Generally, but I may just be misled by PETA, animals don't enjoy being slaughtered for pleasure (or for any other reason). Or send out a lesser in combat. Tho it probably wouldnt kill other lessers, and kill me instead lol. Good idea. :XD: Anyone think that this makes runescape pets seem like pokemon.
