November 26, 200619 yr Though I have an idea what the general TIF's agreement will be on pertaining to this topic. I'd still like to discuss it. The basic idea is quite simple. Give illegal immigrants, who illegally work in the US, citizenship, as well as using tax money to pay for i(t I believe, it would only make sense that way anyway). How do you feel about this? How do you feel about the Democrats taking the house and senate, and how they feel about it, and what may get done? I will simply say, immigrants shouldn't enter this country, unless they are able to become legal immigrants. Me doing staff.
November 26, 200619 yr When the first thing an immigrant does is enter America illegally, and gets away with it, it really says little about our legal system. Right now I believe that there are too many programs in place to help illegal immigrants, who don't even pay for them in the first place. I'm not against immigration or diversity in any way, but I believe it's in our best interest to provide a system where all immigrants are forced to enter the country in a legal fashion that doesn't detract from the quality of life of those of us who are already here. A mind not to be changed by place or time. The mind is its own place, and in itselfCan make a heav'n of hell, a hell of heav'n.
November 26, 200619 yr America's moving toward globalization and theres really no point in stopping it. Lax on immigration laws, tight border security. It's doable and in my mind it works. Also, the whole issue is a pretty big deal here in southern AZ. According to wikipedia, the Tucson precinct of the Border Patrol (where I live) is responsible for 1/3 apprehensions. There's quite a few people I know personally with "illegal" family members living at home. Gamertag: King Arizona

I will simply say, immigrants shouldn't enter this country, unless they are able to become legal immigrants. I don't live in the US, but I have a question. Under what basis are the immigrants entering the US - are they asylum seekers? Or are they just people who entered illegally so as to garner better job opportunities? If the former, I think they have a very good, solid case to work with. If it's the latter, I have another question. Does the government know they are illegal immigrants on the basis, and if so, what is their argument for allowing them to say and granting them citizenship? .
November 26, 200619 yr Or are they just people who entered illegally so as to garner better job opportunities? I think this is it (although I'm not American), and there's huge problems on the US-Mexican border. I'm sure they don't get too many illegal immigrants coming from Canada :P

November 26, 200619 yr send them back to mexico that awnser you questtion? well, aren't u mean! not all illegal immigrants come from mexico. i also think that the only reason that illegal immigrants come to the US is because of better jobs, and better lifestyle. y else would they move, for Mcdonald's Mcchicken ( Mcchicken is good... )!? :XD:

How do you feel about the Democrats taking the house and senate, and how they feel about it, and what may get done? I will simply say, immigrants shouldn't enter this country, unless they are able to become legal immigrants. Illegal immigrants came in the country "legally" will do the s*** job where no one likes to do (farming, plumbing, all the manual work.) If you truly kick out all the immigrants and illegal citizens, then no one will do those jobs and your country will be in deep trouble. That's the main reason for the US and Canada to turn a blind eye for those people. (Obviously, since you works against the law, you can pretend to work by the law and not to follow the law at the same time.) There are plenty of excuses to enter in the North America illegally such as: 1-Your native country will arrest, torture, executed you for treason, for religion, for opinion, for factor x that we don't want to care. 2-You want to get a better lifestyle and job but you're not allowed to travel. 3-You want to go to school or university in the States, but you're not allowed. 4-You want to join with your family legally and you already have all the necessary passports, but you look very suspicious (especially when you're name starts with Youssef, Mohammed, Saddam or Osama.) 5-You're a professional (doctor, professor, engineer) who wants to help out some university, reaserach center in North America, but your certification and diploma aren't legit. You have to work as a taxi driver. Well, the people and the government will not waste their time to check your status. If you look okay, then they will let you pass. That's all we care about them as long they don't bother us. -=Aznhuskarl=- Cleric-=20Cent=- JuggernaughtMore to come...

Virtually every plumber, farmer, labourer, builder, gardener etc. you see in the UK will be white British. It is what the working classes are for. That stands as proof that a country will not crumble due to lack of immigrants to do those jobs. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.

November 26, 200619 yr 2. In the U.S., most lawn mowers and house builders are Latinos. That doesn't matter though. This country has enough drop outs in need of blue-collar jobs. Me doing staff.
November 26, 200619 yr The basic idea is quite simple. Give illegal immigrants, who illegally work in the US, citizenship It's not giving them citizenship. It's letting them have the same paperwork and years of waiting on a path towards a green card and then finally to citizenship that Canadian immigrants and rich Mexican immigrants get.

November 27, 200619 yr I think the first problem to fix, would be to take away insentive for employers to hire illegals over anyone else (ie: for each employee being paid less than anyone else of same age / skill / rank / whatever the pay is determined) gives the employer 5 years in jail + a $1mil fine :D So if they want illegals, by all means take them, but they can't exploit the labour by paying them less than they would a citizen.
November 27, 200619 yr send them back to mexico that awnser you questtion? Invading mexico would be better. But its not possible. or improving life elsewhere, so people won't want to come here.

November 27, 200619 yr I just think the INS needs to audit companies more severely. They audited the company my dad works for, yet I could easily walk up to any of the laborers and tell that their green card is a forgery. For one thing, the green card needs to be redesigned to combat forgeries. Next, huge penalties up to closure of property on companies that hire illegals. Then, screw NAFTA. The US needs to put pressure on Mexico to solve it's issues with distribution of wealth. In addition, the ability for a Mexican citizen to legally apply for an emigration visa needs to be refined. Finally, offer free citizenship classes to all illegals, declaring amnesty. This course will teach them how to find a job, where to learn English, how social security and other benefits work, and how to register for taxes, etc. If this is done, it provides an incentive to work towards citizenship, and less motivation for companies to hire illegals for cheap labor. Any costs from the citizenship process will be offset by the wage taxes that the new citizens would pay like everyone else. It's a sad situation. They live in poverty down in Mexico, and come to Texas looking for "the American Way"... often ending up worse then they were. I want them to be helped, but not the way it is going now. My heart is broken by the terrible loss I have sustained in my old friends and companions and my poor soldiers. November 27, 200619 yr Yes, i know that this is based on the USA's problem, but Australia has a big problem of it's own, mainly refugees and asylum seekers from the middle east and indonesia. These people, usually after spending around 2 weeks on a horrible, leaky, overcrowded boat finnaly arive in Australia and get locked up for years apon end. IMO, this is not the way to go about it, New Zealand, i belive, has a great policy, instead of the Asylum seekers being locked up, they are placed in a sort of 'foster home'. They are immersed in the community, under controlled conditions, and are monitored to see how well they fit in while there case is researched for authenticity. They get jobs and pay for there own food etc, so that the public's money isn't spent on their expenses, and they enjoy living conditions most asylum seekers in Australia could only dream of. Of course, New Zealand doesn't have nearly the size of problem that Australia does, and although it may be hard to put into place, it is a wonderful solution that eliminates all the problems associated with the refugees, those of accomodation and food. Well, no one wants to do those jobs for slave wages. =\ Well, you'd think your government would wisen up about it. Here, plumbers, garbage collectors and electricians get paid absolute buckets of money to do the work nobody else wants to. He's right, Tradesmen, not particularly laybourers get amazing amounts of money, because of the lack of people going into trades, opting to work with computers instead. My grandfather always predicted that there would be a trade shortage, and he's right. RM "A disbelief in magic can force some poor souls into believing in authority and business"
