Major Cooking Update to stop macroers... and a new skill!

Featured Replies

Everyone hates Macroers. Exept the Macroers themselves, which is paradoxial. Here is an Idea that will make cooking a much more respected skill, like it was back in the days of RSC. The idea is that food doesn't heal HP anymore. Instead, it contributes to your hunger level. By eating food, your hunger level increases. If your hunger level gets too low, your stats start to drain. Eventully, if you don't eat, you will die of starvation. This will stop macroers, and also give chefs more recognition, as higher leveled foods will fill hunger higher. Now, most people can't eat a full shark in one bite. So I propose that food must be eaten over time, and bonuses to hunger increase is awarded depending on where you eat it. For example, setting up a campfire and sitting by it to eat gives no bonuses, while dining at your own house gives a 20% bonus. This gives a practical use for dining rooms. You could also go to a tavern and eat there, which gives a 10% bonus. Now onto the new skill... tailoring. If food no longer heals HP, then something must. And that something is bandages. Bandages can be made with various hides and silks found across the world. They heal different amounts depending on the tailoring level needed to make them. You also can make clothing with tailoring. The idea of this update is to give RuneScape a new sense of realism... and stop macroers in their tracks. Now, I know that it might get annoying, mining rune in the wildy, and having to bank too often due to hunger issues, but seriously, people in real life can't spend half a day mining rock and be perfectly fine afterwards?

1. No.

2. Who said RuneScape was realistic? Don't tell me you believe in unicorns, dragons, demons, witches, wizards, giants, etc.

1. Yes.

2. Runescape may be fantasy, but even in fantasy worlds, people need to eat.

1. Food has always healed HP. Maybe a new type of food could be used to fuel energy/hunger, but not current food.

If tailoring is just making bandages, then it could be just part of crafting. Not like this would ever happen.

2. Exactly. We already eat when we heal ourselves.

Yes, but if you choose not to use food, you can live without it.

As I said in another thread: skills we really need is Breathing, Eating, Walking, and Trade skill! Good job =D>

The thought was there but no. Hunger would be more annoying than the macroing. Also i like training in hard places and eating those tasty lobbies to heal me.

its a good thought, but realistically it wouldnt stop macroeing all that much

All I see that it would do is annoy everyone because of the major change. That's the sort of thing that wouldn't be considered until they start working on Rs 3, if they ever will. And it doesn't really help much, and it hurts a lot. No, better to stay the way it is.

How in the world is this related to macroers? It does nothing but further complicate things, and that's never done much to stop macroers. And it makes the game very annoying for the rest of us.

Obtained quest cape and base 92 before obtaining any 99s! Currently finishing out my 99s with the (long-distant) goal of comp cape.

forgot to word..

o wait

F A T I Q U E :-#

You have played to much World of Warcraft..

Sorry but i dont support your idea.

Rs is unrealistic... and i love it! <3:<3:

Ur idea stinks -.- sorry but that's my opinion, look here:

Who said RuneScape was realistic? Don't tell me you believe in unicorns, dragons, demons, witches, wizards, giants, etc.

understand?

Although bandages aint that bad idea, but still it would be very complicated.

yeah because that wouldn't be really really really inconvinient...yeah i got an idea to stop macroers...put Jad next to every yew tree in the game he attacks people who start cutting and can 1 hit them all! oh wait...thats a crap idea...as is yours

sigggyjv2.gif

Sig by me....

stupid... cuz theyu could program the macros to just eat 1 lobster a trip...

^^ click my sig for my lesser ranging guide ^^

jwrm22: 4816th > 99 cooking 100% f2p !1172 total! + 140mil in items.

i dont play anymore... i think rs is ruined

i like the idea of a huger lvl it would be cool but i wouldnt like to play like that . it wouldnt stop alot of macros ether so altogher i think it is a bad idea

Cook Or Be Cooked,Slay Or Be Slain,Burn Or Be Burned,Shoot Or Be Shot,Play Or Be Played

(working on a new sig)

This would pretty much kill a lot of the fun aspects of the game. Tailor skill for bandages? I mean what the hell lets just bring back fatigue while we are at it lol

I dont say this about many suggestions but this would actually make me quit the game altogether.

1. Yes.

2. Runescape may be fantasy, but even in fantasy worlds, people need to eat.

and they do  , i understand where you're coming from...but this necessarly isn't a great idea, this wouldn't decrease macroes at all...the majority fish and wc, not cook. If u had the hunger, fishing would still be in demand..no need to cook, and wc would be the smae. nice idea, although i'm not sure i like it..but it wouldn't do what you're intending.

This is my way to stop autoers:

Report every lvl 3 who isn't talking, and has the same cloothes as all lvl 3 autoers.

This is a bad idea

1. You only have 28 inventory spots and there is only 1 bank in the wildy which is members only (mage arena) and you need a knife of a weapon that can slash to cut through the spider webs.

2. Bandages already exist. You use them to heal in Castle Wars (members only).

Google is evil!

Donut!

I like pie!

That is all.

sry but i just do not support :( :( :(
